Nice looking tool watch, I like the all brushed look with no polished surfaces. A bit thick, and I'm not a great fan of the two dialled Speedmasters so this is not something I would be interested in. But it will find its fans.

I think the Omega mothership needs to stop smoking whatever they are inhaling these days, and get back to earth when it comes to their never-ending price increases!!
The entire industry is due for a reckoning IMO.
I doubt that's going to happen considering asset prices, especially bitcoin, along with the rumors Omega is pressuring ADs out looking to go to a boutique only sales model.

Luxury products kinda follow the old joke: "speed, quality, cost: pick two" Examples:

(1.) No wait times.
Omega should instantly ramp production to stock every variant in every boutique & AD including limited edition models!

(2.) No price increases.
Omega needs to ignore industry / market trends and keep their luxury prices low; volume luxury is the way

(3.) No innovation.
Omega needs to stop with the new materials & tech and perfect their existing lines

TDLR: Luxury prices will probably continue to rise on a brand basis, ie Omega rises into 5 figs, Tissot, et al rises into 4 figs

Another almost perfect Omega, almost…for always the same failure: THE THICKNES!

We will ever see a thin Omega? or we must way for another life?

Who cares about the thickness? This is a tool watch, not a dress watch. You want to see thick, try a Tudor Black Bay chrono. It's huge, but very wearable.

Get a Connie. Or any of the dress watches then.

Personally I don't understand why people like the look of this one. But most really seem to find it attractive

I’m not sure I can quantify why, but I do just like this one. Kinda a gut feel sort of like. Might be the fully brushed tool watch vibe I guess.

won’t be buying it personally. Already spent way too much on other Speedies this year, but perhaps one to consider in a while on the cheaper secondary market

Tell me about too many speedies this year, I’ve done the same. White dial, hesalite and the FOIS. I do like this one too though.

You should keep your powder dry and just get a Snoopy.

I do rather like it. I've always thought the flightmasters are pretty cool, and this is a bit like a modern straight lug version. I don't normally like two register chronographs but this one definitely manages to look nice.

I really like this one. I prefer the issued version, but as that one isn’t accessible to civilians such as myself, I would definitely buy this one. And I agree with what you said @ErichPryde

I am also liking it, but agree that the flight-issued version is cooler. I guess I'll have to suck it up and go to flight school after all.

But man oh man, I feel like Omega had been releasing some good stuff this year, between this, the white dial speedy, the new FOIS, the new Seamaster 300 variants...

Err tool watches are supposed to have utility. This is a dull slow selling model in a pretty dress. It’s the 2025 version of that awful Ben Clymer homage to the Harlequin Mk 40 Speedy. Which itself was a homage to the Flightmaster.

Does this offer a pilot any more than any other 2 register chrono? No. But at least the squadron special version has some momento value for its owner. Should they engrave this one with Walter Mitty’s name and unit so the man in the street can pretend?

In my opinion this is a fitting pilot/aviator watch. The legibility seems to be it's strong point. The big luminova plots enhance readability. Also the stop minute indication in orange greatly improves legibility especially on a two register chrono.
Do you need a watch in a modern cockpit? No, at least not in the Airbus.
I wore my M.A.D.1S the other day and was surprised on how often I look at my watch to check the time during a work day. So I guess besides looking good on the wrist there's actual use of a timepiece in modern aviation.

It looks like the included "Kevlar-reinforced" NATO will be available as a normal accessory soon. Unfortunately (for non Speedy owners) it says Speedmaster on the keeper. Shame, if Omega did a polyamide in the classic Admiralty grey, it'd be an instant buy for me. I don't like their polyester options.

370 euro is a lot of money.😟
