I wish they made exactly the same watch but in steel => price for peasants like me.
(applied indexes, applied logo, non-flat dial, silver bezel).

BTW, here is the official video:

I'm confused, not that difficult my wife would say, I was under the impression that the 321 Speedmaster was over subscribed and that there are long waiting lists, I have been waiting for a SS version since we were able to order one but not a sign of getting one, yet now if I want to spend a couple of arms and throw in a leg or two I can have my 321 in this lovely Canopus gold or beautiful Platinum which is even more expensive (considering it is on a leather strap) and would probably involve me selling my soul.

Therefore, how can Omega release another watch containing the 321 when they cannot meet demand for the SS 321, or am I missing something, got my wires crossed or something else?

Confused.

Sticking with steel, don't need my 321 wrapped in Jamaican gold... 😁

Do you really think they will be selling boatloads of this 65th anniversary?

Also, are these x5th anniversary special? I mean, maybe the 75th or even 25th anniversary, but the 45, 55, 65, …. Not so sure.

No I don't think that Omega will sell boatloads my point is simply that we now have 3 watches that can be bought with the 321 movement, sure the number of PM watches sold at these extremely high prices won't be great but for those waiting for a SS 321 seeing another watch with the movement is a bit of a kick in the teeth.

The new Canopus watch isn't going to be limited it is apparently going to remain in the catalogue going forward.

Absolutely fabulous piece 🥰🥰🥰 Even if I could allow myself to afford this, I would still have to be honest with myself (because it is not possible to lie to yourself) : the winner is...

...especially with the pictured combo of a mint 1960's 1035/506. Thanks Omega for continuing to make stunning watches, as well as continuing to affirm the choice of awesome watches I have already bought from you 👍

I’m not worried about it. I forget the exact information source but I think they said they would be producing a couple thousand or so a year? So if they need to up production by a couple percent it shouldn’t be a big deal really…

Given the pricing, there is going to be very limited demand. Omega does not have the cache of Patak so offering up a really expensive piece like this doesn’t have precedent like it does with their models and the ever increasing demand for them. So if you have the cash for something like this, you really are putting it into this timepiece because you just want one. Nothing else. At least that’s what I’m thinking is the case for now.

On the other hand, I could be wrong and this will be the model that for some reason becomes a crazy high demand piece for the ultrarich. Who knows…

I like the watch, but it is obviously not intended for me and I am not going to criticize Omega for it.

I think it looks beautiful but it's way outside of my budget and I can only assume that is intentional. I can't rightly speculate on Omega's intent with the pricing, but I will say that I have at least temporarily considered the price of the Trilogy '57 Speedy and the stainless steel Calibre 321 seem outright reasonable. Heck, if you look at William's table and compare it to an excellent condition CK2915 the price starts to seem pretty reasonable. Now consider the precious metals that it's made from and it's starting to look like a steal. I mean, if you've got that kind of money to throw around on really pretty jewelry why not?

Good argument, if you have the money to throw around on a good original why not have a new one in PM, I would. Now where is my lottery ticket.

Weren’t you on the waiting list already? Or did you order from a grey seller?!

Well,

I am on the list for the Snoopy3 "ordered", and the 321 steel was only reserved / interested status ...

Since yesterday the 321 steel is now changed to status "ordered" 👍

I also see this launch as an attempt to make the 321 stainless steel look cheaper in comparison.

Are you under the impression that there aren't enough SS 321 buyers out there... 😁

Nice but: solid gold case and bracelet, cal. 321 = $81,000 USD? I have some friends that would love to know what there’re smoking over there in Switzerland…

Sorry, Omega, but you just can’t jump two-feet into the Newman Daytona playground and expect it to fly.

I’m sure they will sell in the current environment. Yeah, it’s stupid money for either and I simply don’t get the appeal of “precious” metal. But given the choice I’d still prefer this one over any Daytona.

While I appreciate the iconic status of the original reference 2915, the Speedmaster Trilogy reissue didn't stay with me very long.

I personally prefer the looks and proportions of the 105.003, and the Caliber 321 reference 311.30.40.30.01.00 ticks all the boxes for me.
