The comfort fit clasp looks like its going to be a nice upgrade for the 321.
Omega confirmed a member on a local forum the FOIS clasp (117Z019478) isn't compatible with the 321 bracelet.

You sir, read my mind. I've been wanting more to see it in the sunlight to get a good idea of what the lume color actually looks like when it's not under boutique lights. These photos might have been the push over the edge I needed to start start stashing the pennies away in the piggy bank for the upcoming purchase. I'll definitely be reaching out to the local OB to see it in person.
I can post a few pictures of the black dial with this one for comparison if you wish.

Looking good, which means getting to pay a little visit to my local OB. I could use a chrono in my collection, since I sold my Racing 44 five years ago. Really liking this FOIS.

Was fortunate to have been invited to the OB Event to see the new FOiS on Friday. Wore my Snoopy for the trip with the intention of having them mount it on the bracelet:
Hah! So I finally met a forum member in real life and didnt realize it.

I was sitting across from you with my girlfriend when Brennan was describing the watch.

I decided to put my name down for the ploprof instead though, unexpected twist of the night.

Where the re-release 321 was a 'no' for me as the real (read: vintage) thing was more attractive in comparison and sits in a similar price range, this new release does strike me as a good one. Finding an original 2998 in nice condition is very hard, making this a better alternative. The grey/blue hue of the dial is the icing on the cake for me...

The pricing is interesting too; a bit below the 'premium' sapphire Moonwatch. What's your take on this? Is Omega backing up its Speedmaster range with a more 'attractively priced' offer in the wake of a slowing market?

(They surely have got me tempted, but hey, I know I have a weak spot for Speedies)
IMHO the price of the 3861 FOIS is a bit under the 3861 Pro due to the cost of the sapphire case.

It’s pretty nice…. But I’d argue that Lewis Watch Co did it better 7 years ago 😜
.....better handset for sure.

I'm sure you are correct, and Omega probably planned it that way.

Success!

Time to see the new FOiS:

I see one was just flipped today on WUS for $8250.

I guess he was a legitimate private owner…. I just can’t understand any reason for selling one so soon…

….unless he forgot to check with the wife!😵‍💫
.....my guess is it wears larger than desired

😁 Ahh, great to hear you put your name down for the PloProf “The Beast” during the event. My first time seeing it in the metal:

On omegawatches.com you cannot put the bracelet version on your wish list, but you can add the strap version. I have contacted the boutique about one though.

I wonder if any of the spiral winder exhibition case backs would fit, would love to have the option to see the movement.

That would be really kind of you! And if you're offering, I'll definitely take you up on it, I'm sure it would might be helpful to others who are contemplating the purchase?

That is my concern. I won't buy one until I can try it in person. I have a 6.75 inch wrist and don't like large watches. The straight lugs are less than ideal but only having it on wrist will tell me if it's a deal breaker.

Looks fantastic, but not sure if I like how shiny the dial seems to be. The crystal seems to emphasize that. Gotta see more pictures and videos, and in person of course.

This is probably going to be the third watch ever that I buy at retail. Omega did a very good job with this one.
