·I think this release is a home run. I'm not crazy about the lume color. I don't mind an aged lume look, but this is more brown than I prefer. But the blue gray dial is so awesome the lume would not be a deal breaker.
And kudos to Fratello for a great article and photos. In the last year Fratello has replaced Hodinkee as my daily internet visit to see what's up in the watch world.

·I had mixed emotions about the original FOIS, and then I kicked myself for not picking one up before they were discontinued once it happened...
I've learnt my lesson now - my FOIS '24 is on order and should be on my wrist wednesday from the local OB. And it looks better than the first version if you ask me, so even better!

·Mine should be shipped to my door from the OB by Tuesday at the latest! I can’t believe Omega reissued my favorite Speedmaster with so many of the right details. I must be dreaming still.

·The dial color comes across like a tuxedo blue in certain lighting and more black in others. It’s the best of both. Thoughtful release from the prior version as there are enough changes, such as sapphire crystal with a Hesalite-like domed, 3861 movement, DON, and the option to purchase it with the flat link steel bracelet.
The vintage Super-LumiNova quickly grew me and why not, most of us are guilty of pairing a dressy or well worn brown leather dress shoes with a blue suit. I think the new FOIS makes a hard case for those who wants the Ed White 321 but the wait time is uncertain or the price point is harder to justify.

·love it....don't know if people caught this...but Omega etched their logo on the sapphire "dome" crystal of the new FOIS like they do on the Hesalite Monwatch...😎👍

·Another winner from Omega. They've been hitting it out of the park with this release plus the white Speedmaster.
Question - diameter says 39.7mm. Is it really smaller than the Pro at 42mm? I always thought that 2mm difference was from the crown guards but the actual size of the dial/bezel was the same.
