CD players with analog outs have a digital-to-analog converter, ie CDs are a fully digital product from the digital era.

Did you mean vinyl albums? Though I'm not sure those are old fashioned these days, more new fashioned ... e.g., I went to a rural college town 5 hours away from anything & no major airport; the town had a HUGE vinyl shop packed full of college students.
Yes vinyl is definitly back in fashion. I didn't expressed myself well. I meanned I don't download music. I enjoy going to the last independent music store and buy my cds or vinyl. It will sound strange but I enjoy reading the sleeves notes while listening to the music. I need noth in order to enjoy music.

Mine said that they are only allowed to sell one per day.
My OB declined to sell me one due to this "corporate policy". Said they could take a deposit and sell me one the next day. This certainly is a very stupid tactic. Turned me off enough to not buy from the boutique. Will buy secondary or from one of the several ADs near me. Looks like Omega corporate doesn't care about keeping full margin on a watch?

That sounds incredibly dumb. Maybe it’s more the OB policy to ensure at least 1 watch sale a day to smooth out sales over the month

I was told that it was corporate policy for now and that in the store they didn’t like it. Wasn’t a big deal for me as I am 200 miles away and told them when I would be there. But they only had two to sell all last week.

Your AD won't get one for a year. Mine still hasn't had a white one yet this year.

Seeing all the pics, it definitely looks like Omega nailed this one. The local OB is currently closed (going through a redesign/refresh) so haven't been able to see it in person yet.

Not in a hurry, would probably sell a couple out of the collection which haven't gotten the proper wrist time since I acquired newer ones.

That's what I told myself, but then I wear one and love it again.

You're better at taking pictures of it than I am.
It's all about being lucky with good lighting 😉

It is an Omega owned boutique. Not an AD. They have the watches. Corporate mandated that they don't sell more than one a day. The sales staff are quite frustrated about this because they are having to turn away folks who are ready to purchase - especially long time customers who've already purchased several watches. Fantastic watch but asinine distribution strategy. Spoke to one of the ADs, they have the watches but they are prioritizing their existing customers. I can understand ADs doing that. But OB declining existing customers ::facepalm1::

As I said, mine told me they were expecting two in and when could I get there. Got there when they opened two days later and got it.

Is it possible to install a sapphire case back from the 3861 Speedy Pro on this model?

Archer would know, but why? This one is supposed to be as it is.

How are people finding the bracelet compared to the 60th anniversary speedy? I really liked that watch but never felt like the bracelet matched. It felt like a huge chunky modern bracelet on what’s supposed to feel like a vintage watch. Didn’t get much wrist time and eventually sold it.

Is this one a better ?

The flatlink is the same as the 321/A11 50SS/'57's and wears great. The one on the Trilogy doesn't match because of the non-taper and bulky clasp.

I did see a Trilogy on a 321 flatlink (ordered as part at an OB) today at a GTG that had the endlinks modded, funny thing is the endlinks on an early 321 production fit perfectly on a Trilogy.

Why not? It’s fun to look at the movement, and it’s an easily reversible mod.
For the fun of it, I even had the plastic brake replaced with a metal one in that second pic as a frivolous mod. That could also be reversed at its next service if I wanted.

Edit to add: And, unlike the 1861, all 3861 movements are decorated the same, which makes them a visual treat to look at.
