You guys definitely win the “I confused your avatar at a glance” award…

I think the cats wearing a suit avatar guys would dispute your claim.

That top (left) avatar is mine, and everytime I see the other one I have to check to make sure it's not one of my posts. But my 1866 moonphase with a Gemini IV blue bezel and baton hands is the only one in the world (to my knowledge), and its avatar was used before the other one. 😎

Thanks will sort that out ASAP. For now the watch is safely at home with the others. 😀
Great collection!

I've changed it a little. Yours is amazing, I don't have anything that special but have amassed what I think is a pretty decent little collection.

I just pulled the trigger for the FOIS. My OB says it'll happen within two weeks.

I’m curious if any Ed White/c321 owners have pulled the trigger on the FIOS II? Or plan to? My OB reached out today, and I didn’t say yes…yet.

I like the FOIS a lot, but because I have the 321 I am not in a hurry to buy the FOIS. I will wait a few months until things settle down before making a decision on whether to get it or not.

I'm sure there will be a few takers but I personally don't see the point. You get a more up to date movement, but no one bought the 321 worrying about the accuracy, or inclusion of a co-axial escapement. Design wise (dial, hands, bezel, back) the 321 is more attractive, imo.

Had a chance to try the new FOIS today at a boutique. Was wearing my old FOIS to compare.
I allways thought my fois was not very legible, but after a stright side by side comparison, it is almost feels as legible as a speedy pro 🤣
Well to be fair i guess the boutique light dont do this watch a favour.. but i had the impression that the glare is really almost annoying. Not only the dial has this shiny effect but also the crystal adds some reflections, in combination with alpha hands and darker lume it constantly plays with light and loses some legibility.
Its a beautiful watch! Somehow i want to own one, but today i didnt pull the trigger..

Seriously though : who buys watches for legibility?! Such people should spend 50 bucks on a casio and move along 😁

That blue/grey dial is beautifully captured in your shot ... which is quite amazing for those crappy OB lights. Well done and thanks for sharing.

So I went in to a UK boutique to view one today, just to look you understand, of course they won’t have stock so it’ll just be a look. Unfortunately for me they had stock ::facepalm1:: Pics to follow but I’m wearing my new one right now…

Reminds me of when I put a deposit down for my Snoopy 50. I was just going to the OB to have them change out a watch strap to bracelet on my 2220.80 Seamaster and the SA asked if I wanted to put $5k down for a deposit on a S50. This was like 2 weeks before official release and he said just put a deposit down. If I don't like the way it looks when it's released, just call him up for a refund.

I wandered into the St Louis boutique in March 2019 not even aware there was going to be an Apollo 11 50th, but ended up putting the whole cost on a CC, $9,650 + tax. There were no pics or renditions, just a reference number and the sketchiest of details. Watch was delivered in August, eventually sold to help fund the EW 321. You never know what will pop up.

OK so I have a bit of a (first world) problem, I now have at least one too many straight lugs. Sorry for poor quality pics. Light here is very grey now:

I would say goodbye to the one in the middle.

I suspect that is the likely outcome yes. I can't really justify owning the First Omega in Space and the errr Second First Omega in Space if you see what I mean.
