AD is always the best way to go when new. You can get deals if you negotiate.

I guess this varies wildly depending on AD and probably country. I made some effort in three ADs and couldn't get anything out of them. Even while at the store, holding the watch and looking interested. Not a single peanut or freebie off retail price.

Found a much better deal at at a gray seller, plus fully stamped by an AD, so no loss of warranty or resale value. It was even cheaper than at Jomashop in the US.

But inded it varies a lot. Nothing is lost it trying to push the AD price down a bit. If they accept, it might be worth it. Especially because they usually deliver much faster.

So I asked about Costco's return policy for luxury watches while I was there today. Their normal return policy applies - nothing special. Keep your receipt and if you're not satisfied you can return it.

I was also quite stoked to find out I can return for a refund my 8-year-old patio chair on which a weld broke. Glad I kept that receipt from 2008!
Normal return policy for Costco is if it hasn't disintegrated you can return it... I think I am about to make a call to find out the next time I can latch on to a Costco trip 馃榿
The receipt requirement is new. It wasn't previously needed.
OP is not a Costco member so their return policy may apply differently. Just buy a membership then, it's cheap enough compared to the saving and ease of return.

Would you consider sharing who this grey dealer is?

Doesn't you membership have to remain valid at the time of return?

Probably.

However, note that Costco's watch prices may or may not be good. If you buy one, you buy it for the return policy, and not necessarily the price.
