Hi OF, I’m a 30 years old french guy, with compulsive mechanical watch issues. After almost 7 years of reading (long-time lurker you said ? ), I finally dare to participate. On a personal level I’m a plant biologist, coming fom France (which explain the bad english skills, but do not excuse it !). I have a preference for watches from the 40’s through the 60’s, and not only Omega(s). I have awful photography skills, but I’ll post some pictures in the appropriate threads, starting with my favourite one... Be careful, radium content But for my first pic here, needed to be an Omega, so be it : 10 points for the person identifying the watch brutally cut by my post-prod photography skills ( Told you ! ) Thanks everyone for the amount of information here, it’s a true goldmine !
Welcome! That lovely piece could also be shared on the thread “small things Radium and Beautiful...“ for some reason, I am not able to copy thread links anymore - maybe my new phone but you could do a site search if you like looking at these pieces
Thank you all for the warm welcome ! @OMEGuy There's a connection to the waterproof and the sea.... But not Omega Longines Marine Nationale, ref 5774 @DaveK Unfortunately this club is only for 32-34mm watches, and this Omega is a little too big with its 35 mm case... But I've shared other pieces in this thread @Lacazema Nous sommes partout
Bienvenue à toi, on est nombreux ici! D’ailleurs s’il y a des passionnés dans le 34 qui souhaite échanger autour d’une bière...
Welcome from another plant-person! Lettuce is my primary but I do some tomato and melon work also. I go for a bit more modern watch as water resistance is key for me.
