Hello everyone,
During renovating my family house we have found this pocket watch. Is there anything special to it? Whats the best way to clean it? It's working properly. Was my great-grandfather a baller or is it a regular model for that period? Is it possible to date it? Thanks in advace!

The style of finish on the coin silver case (.800 fine) is called gallone. That is, the red gold plating on the perimeter of the front and back covers. I’ve never seen this finish on U S made watch cases, only European ones. The plate design is one that Omega used on watch movements of all sizes, wrist to pocket. European makers measure the diameter of their movements in lignes. It is not possible to gauge the size of the movement of this watch.
