Had a clear out and found his Omega watch which I think was bought in the 70's still works. I was wondering if it was worth having it cleaned and serviced. Is it worth anything? It's got Tool 9070 on the back

Mostly sentimental value. Gold plated case with the plating worn through to the brass on the lugs, and possibly elsewhere. The date numeral is not centred in the window on the dial. Likely could be sorted out with a service. Best way to decide If it is worth servicing is to take it to a watch repair specialist for a quote. But don’t plan on servicing it, then offering it for sale! It is a manual winder, and given its cosmetic problems, there won’t be a line up wanting to buy it. Could be a joy to wear, so it might be worth your while having it serviced.

Its not a watch a collector would prize but if you liked your grandfather and like this watch ..... its definitely worth the service.

I have a gold plated Omega that has plating worn off like yours and it's by far my favorite watch that was given to me used by my father.

This is an in-the-interest-of-science sort of question, but is it me or has the dial itself somehow shifted clockwise just a bit? It seems skewed to my eyes, both 12 and 6 in relation to center-point between the lugs and the date window (also noted earlier) in relation to the crown. Indeed, it almost looks as though the date display is lined up correctly to the crown but the reason it’s not centered is that the dial has shifted in front of it. Am I imagining this? I could be...

I'm guessing broken off dial feet...
