Another new pair of Grand Seikos dropped yesterday.

Apparently "the “dusty rose” hue of the SBGA509 conveys the early sunrise", but it somehow reminds me of Spam...

Oh yes I saw an ad for them. I usually am stunned by GS dials but I gotta concur that truly resembles spam, bologna or prosciutto. I think it’s the first GS dial I might actually say has an unpleasant look, I kinda like it.

OMG, I didn't want it before, but it's the perfect watch to wear when making spamsilog! The Filipino side of my extended family will be so proud!

Spam goes so well with eggs! 😀

And you can add whichever carb you like - rice in your case. Alternatively with noodles, or with bread if you're in Hong Kong. Such comfort food 👍

Yeah, if we have leftover spam from spamsilog, it usually becomes a 'spamwich' the next day.

We don't eat it as much as we used to ... Not super healthy and all, but I will still defend its reputation. My wife sometimes orders tocino spam online when she's feeling nostalgic.

Do we think Seiko comes up with a dial first or the story first?

I've pretty much given up on the marketing that this is the green of the insert forest / season here blah blah

that being said, it is nice then to not have to call this a (and it was the super hot color for a while) salmon

I'm pretty sure they create the dial, then do the spin. It's getting predictable how they repeatedly invoke nature - "the ___ colour represents the changing colours of the rocks / woods /forests / lakes / whirlpool / sky / clouds as seen over dawn/dusk/evening , over the mountain / lake / hills/ slopes of ____ prefecture"

I like how you properly call it Spin.

Everyone rags on Omega for the LE this LE that but Seiko is just as bad

Can't unsee it now, thanks 😲
Ditto.. glad I don't have it. Otherwise I would never be able to look at it the same way again. 😁
