Hey mates, is it still today possible to find a "pulso bezel" in a good condition ?

I had a look some days ago on internet and didn't find anything nice...

What would be a fair price ?

Also is it existing in aftermarket ? If so, how to divide a real one than a crap aftermarket ?

Thanks !

Hi, I recommend this information:

PULSO.jpg

The service bezels show up from time to time, the vintage bezels are hard to find and nowadays even aftermarket copies of the vintage style are available. You'll find "custom made" examples on ebay.

A fair price for a perfect genuine vintage bezel would be corresponding to the DON version IMO.

If I wanted a Pulsometer in vintage style right now, I'd take a "custom made" now and keep on looking for a genuine one, to swap later on.

So every "Gradué pour 15 pulsations" with dots are service one ?

By "custom made", you mean aftermarket, right?

Thanks!

And which speedy came with the pulso bezel ? no 105.012 ? And I don't think it was a choice, or ?

Thanks

@t_swiss_t is the resident pulsometer bezel expert. He might be able to provide some more input...

The bezels come up for sale occasionally in the parts section. I think they are super cool!

Not sure I’m an expert, though I have a penchant for all things pulsation.

Since they were a special order there isn’t a serial range or anything. As far as I’ve been able to figure out, they were available throughout the ‘60’s and ‘70’s and are seen on everything from the 2998 to 145.022-7x.

The repro bezels are not perfect and I hope people do not buy them as they will undoubtedly be resold to unsuspecting buyers as original.

Pricing is difficult, I have only talked to a few people with loose vintage pulsations bezels and they would need a high price to be pried away.

FYI, Pulso Bezel is considered most correct on a 2998-2 originally owned by a Doctor in 1961😁
Lollipop is a must have.

Find a watchmaker with an Omega parts account. Omega may have service bezels still. They had my decimeter.

The pulsations bezel (as well as the two telemetre bezels, and of course the tachy bezel) are all still available from Omega...

"service version" is a dubious term. Generally speaking, with only few exceptions, there is no such thing as a "service" dial, bezel, etc. It's just the current production dial, bezel or whatever.

If you are asking if these are "vintage" bezels, the answer is clearly no, they are not. But they are not "service" bezels either, just the current bezels that if you were to order a Speedmaster with one, would come on the watch.

Can anyone tell me the differences between a Pulsometer bezel form the 60s and a more recent one?

Do i understand correctly, that if i wanted e.g. a Pulsation bezel on my FOIS i would have to go to the AD where i bought the watch, and thats a service they can provide? (they are an official Omega service center)
