Good Price for a Speedy Tuesday?

Hello OF,

I’m looking to buy a Speedy Tuesday 1 near the end of the month and was wondering if anyone had any advice on what would be considered a good price for one. Asking prices seem to vary from around $7,500 on up to around $10,000. Clearly buying one at $7,500 would be ideal, but may not be realistic, but $10,000 also seems a bit exorbitant. Advice?

Advice?

Like with all watches : buy the best watch you can, at the best price, placing emphasis on 'best watch' rather than 'best price'.
Good luck.

Unfortunately these have been rising steadily over the last 6 months.

I turned down the chance to pick one up on the Snoopy strap for £5.600 4 months back, mistake!!

UK average seems to be £7k at the moment, been watching these to go with my ST#2, anything under that is a decent price.

I paid 5k in June for a barely worn full set, omega boutique bag, original receipt everything. When they’re priced right they don’t hang around.

Lucky. Where did you find that?

Instagram! I just followed all the Speedy Tuesday hashtags and one popped up in my stream and I jumped on it.

I agree

So disappointed I missed them. Damm instagram and being late and they sold out.

Don’t think I’ve ever paid over rrp for a watch.

But I’m sure these will only go up

I was recently offered one unworn for $7500 but it's just not one I'm that interested in. I think now is the time to get one if you can... around $8000 or less is still doable. I think they will slowly increase in asking price over time similar to many other LEs that have gone through a similar cycle. Lots of buying and trading for the first 2-3 years, then "suddenly" they are rarely offered for sale any longer. Of course, the entire world economy could collapse and I could just be blowing smoke! I think there is a bit of "LE fatigue" with Speedmasters, so there might be some good deals to be had near term. Of course, they always sell out, but many of those buyers are speculators/flippers. My two cents...

There’s one for sale right now on TZ-UK at £5,600 so a smidgen under $7k USD.

There definitely seem to be fewer of these around. I also think prices will slowly rise.

$7k USD is probably the very best you would find right now; friend paid about that for his a few months ago

FYI : Some boutiques might still have a ST1 as lots of AD still have the ST2 in the display window !
