FYI : Some boutiques might still have a ST1 as lots of AD still have the ST2 in the display window !
Really? Which ones?

Phil you normally know your onions but on this occasion may be a little wide of the mark. The ST watches were never seen in ADs other than at delivery time as they were directly ordered via the net so would be very interested to hear where you have seen them in windows. Perhaps you mistook it for another watch, the ST2 is the Ultraman re-issue, are you saying you have seen that watch, which sells at a premium everywhere by the way, in a dealer's window for sale? Multiple dealers even? Surely some mistake?

Just to reiterate, the one on TZ-UK is still there and getting no takers so far at £5,600 so if you really want one and can access that sales platform, that would be where I would go.

No affiliation, no recommendation of seller etc.

I believe on this occasion, the shop owner bought/ordered a ST2 and put it in the shop window... although very striking it's probably a unique case 🤔

I was so frustrated missing out on the Speedy Tuesday and the Snoopy. However, I was unwilling to pay the secondary prices they were commanding. I do regret picking up a 3573 when it was the same price as the Alaska Project.

I know the one you’re referring to. It’s sold now

Tough crowd there. Same guy tried to flip a buzz butt at £1k over list and was laughed out of town. Someone posted on his sales thread that the Watchfinder buy in offer is now £6500-6750. Didn’t exactly help. If true it suggests the overs ship has sailed there as that is significantly under list.

Someone better tell the Chrono 24 sellers then, average price this morning £11,266.

Perhaps all 31 EU sellers have got the market wrong and the tightwads on TZUK are right.

Unless it’s Rolex the self appointed forum police on TZ are usually thread crapping on most sales threads about someone trying to sell over RRP. Pathetic.

If the dealer buy in offers really have fallen below RRP then that is suggestive. C24 asking prices are not a remotely reliable indication of value...

I’m in a little bit of a pickle right now, I’ve been saving to buy a Rolex explorer 1 when an ad offered me the ST1 for retail ! What should I do?

I would imagine Watchfinder have been offered plenty of these given the size of the run (too big) and have adjusted their bid price sharply lower to discourage any further stock they do not wish to hold as per their usual practice.

Whilst it is your perogative, it is clear you dislike this piece and would like to see it tank, I think you have longer to wait.

The fact that WF do not have any Buzz Butts for sale would suggest that their offer is derisory compared to other secondary market dealers.

Stufflers Mom suggests that Chronext we’re paying a lot more. Mine went elsewhere at my asking price a couple of weeks ago.

If you see the amount for sale on C24 reducing then the pricing is about right I would say

All irrelevant to me anyway, my example was bought for the pleasure of ownership long term, not for revenue raising purposes as I have far more effective ways of achieving that.

I don’t like the piece certainly which is why I turned down the one I offered but to say I wish it to tank is a creative jump. It isn’t the case, I am merely passing on information balancing out some of the pump and dump bullshit on earlier threads. Like yours my price figures are based on fact. Some other contributors not so much. You said it yourself, the run was too big to sustain the price, hence as supplies come through the price softens. I doubt I have any longer to wait for whatever it is you think I am waiting for.
