No one except Omega watch nerds are talking about Snoopy, Bond and Speedy...no one!

One of my company shareholders (multi million guy) is wearing at the office a Pepsi (vintage) and Bond version of a Seamaster
He wears them with the same respect and talking about both of them if you ask him…..so no one is talking about Bond doesn’t stand out

We love and respect watches for what they are, Rolex, Omega, etc…to each on his own

Apologies but personally, I don't think Omega need to up their game, if you review their current offerings they have done so already.

I won't play your game, arguing one brand against another, it been done to death. Both Rolex and Omega are great brands many aspire to own for as many reasons as there are choices, as are many other brands which we all share a passion for.

Unfortunately Rolex attitude to customers is not great, they i believe removed stolen register list now, waiting list is a joke.

All Rolex care about is how to maintain its luxury status and how many celebrities they can sign on. A lot of people I believe buy it because its something that is desired by everyone else.

Also I find myself scared wearing one, it has become such a high target for gangs and thieves.

Got a golden opportunity for you there, op. How about Rolex copying design elements of AP and Patek. Those are a couple of brands to aspire to.

You need to pull your head out your arse pal, Rolex are an upper mid-tier watch manufactuer, nothing more, granted they make some very nice watches, but in the watch game, they're the Johnny-come-lately, they can't even claim to have mastered any complications, something that many others, including Omega can.

The fact they are perceived as the greatest by those on the street means nothing, the better brand perception doesn't always mean the better product.

Someone should hand you a Lange or a Journe, then see how it stacks up to your GMT.

Your posts scream of someone who hasn't the first idea what he's on about.

How many watches does Lange or FP J make per year? Do you have any idea how incredibly hard it is to make million pieces and have an average price of $7000 to $10000 OTD? Lange or FPJ or Patek are nothing next to Rolex, call on all Swiss brands to make a perfect $10000 dive watch like the Sub or even the GMT, sticker it at $10000 and sell in the millions in quantity.... trust me no of these super high end clowns can do it. It's easy to make one or two $500K or $800K display only pieces, it's a whole other story to sell million pieces at such a high cost of $10000 for a basic steel watch, you gotta have magic in your watch, Rolex is the ONLY game in town, that's why they by far is the most powerful swiss brand, Sorry Roger Federer does NOT wear FPJ or Patek or ugly Langes. These are in essence boutique brand, any given time only less than 1% of the population even qualify money wise to purchase. I used to sell super high end watches I know. Go to a Patek or Lange boutique, ghost town, only you watch nerds are arguing these non sense. Sell 100 pieces of FPJ to drug dealer and CEOs or mistresses does not make you a top tier watch house, you are nothing. Try sell a million steel divers for $10000 or more each to EVERYONE on the street that makes you a BIG DOG! Damn I am arguing with nerds! Hahahahahaha 😀

There are a lot of other watch brands out there than Rolex and Omega. Rolex are good, so are Omega, but I would be hard pressed to say that Rolex is the be-all, end-all of watches, simply because it isn't. If you have ever seen or tried the offerings from Glashütte or even the lesser known Swiss brands such as Moser & Cie or Parmigiani Fleurier, you might change your opinion.

Micro brands buddy, they sell in the hundreds and thousands each year, Rolex move numbers at much higher average sale prices for basic but stunning pieces, that make Rolex the best.

In fact I totally agree with you! I am a fair person if an Omega is stunning I would say that too. I love the Aqua Terra in green, stunning! I want to buy it.
I just laugh and can't get over how die hard and defensive some folks here are. I used to work for the biggest swiss brand, traveled there for sales training at HQ, you guys don't understand, the luxury game is a con... Everything is a game, there is something to be said about their quality and design and marketing, but in fact their stuff is also overpriced, often crap.... Its extremely difficult to whip the public into a frenzy like Rolex can. Let me tell you one thing don't tell me your FPJ lange Jaeger etc etc are higher quality better design, that's the game you see, without these hype these micro brands can't move a thing.

I can walk into a pawn shop in middle of American at 1AM in the morning and get $$$$ for my Rolex, you will get less for your Omega or other brands period. Why? No one want your FPJ Lange no one, may be you folks here, but let me guess most of your do not own any Jaeger, Lange, Moser, or FPJ....I get it I am in the same boat.

SO what am I saying? Rolex #1 period, if you like to argue for micro brands that sell 10 pieces a year and say they are better fine have it your way.

You should reread your own posts before you cast your stones lol

IE Rolex, which is a mid tier brand yet they have you convinced they are number 1.

Perhaps you believe so. Am I alone in having no idea what your thesis is?

I’m struggling to understand why you joined an omega forum on Monday. Just go back to TRF if you hate the watches so much

When you talk like this it is difficult to take you seriously. Watches of all brands are enjoyed and appreciated here.

I am glad for you that you have found a watch brand that you enjoy. Unfortunately, it seems like you are missing out in a lot of the watch world by so narrowly focusing on one brand. It's not a net-zero game.

Have a good weekend.

You are right, Rolex is the only mid tier brand sold out entire store inventory, public pay over MSRP and fight over it and have waiting list for year. You are so right. Rolex is so mid tier, because I see your Omega has a LONG line outside their store each morning. Sorry Omega I happen to love it too, but your delusion needs medical attention. Peace sir! Hahahaha 😀

I was going to write an informed reply to your post, but really can't be bothered, you appear to be the sort of person who can't read a room, and won't be told.

You want a forum to agree with you and tell you Rolex are No.1? they have a forum especially for it, and it's not here.

How about show me some honesty, instead defend whatever you believe in. You and I both know Omega isn't quite Rolex, probably not even close. That's all. It's not about I am here to fight for Rolex, I am here because I don't like Rolex the way they treat the customers, Omega cares more of its customers that Rolex can't do, there I said it. Customer service Omega #1, Rolex is shit. Does that please you all? hahahahhaha

I wish I knew what the hell you're on about, or even what you're on?

Of course Omega isn't Rolex, thats what many of us like about them, what I don't believe in is making your customers jump through hoops, or spend thousands on shitters, just to get what is in essence, a very ordinary watch.

What I don't like about Rolex, is not the perceived games, the preferential treatment, is that the world and it's wife think they're the best watches in the world, when in all truth, they're very far from it.

If I want to spend years on a waitlist, it'll be for a Patek or something special.

Taximoney; the argument could be made that Rolex needs to be more like Omega.
