·I've heard recently that using steel springbars on a gold watch will damage the case... is this true? In my case I have an 18k gold vintage connie 168.019, and I'm using regular steel springbars.
Even though that steel is harder than gold, I would think that the springbars shouldn't move around, thus there shouldn't be any damage?
I guess another question is did solid gold Omega watches come with gold springbars from the factory? I'm aware that Rolex watches did, but I don't know about Omega.
