Hello, I have received a Omega watch from my Grand Father, He got it as service to a Bank for 40 years.
My Question is.
It has a Gold dot at the 56 minute mark, I have goggle images and haven't come across another one, Does anyone know the model and what the gold dot means. Im picking the watch is from the 70's.

Cheers

A bit hard to tell, but I suspect it's a bad repair of a broken dial foot.

Its, never been repaired. Thought it might have something to do with the moon landing at the 56 min?

I think I may have worked it out. Could it be a gold dot from where the day is? 3 o'clock mark?

I was thinking a dislodged lume spot, but I can't see if the watch even has lume.

I agree - based on the photo it seems the dial foot has pierced through or is pushing up against the dial.

I think there are lume dots at the outer edges of some of the applied markers, but they are quite small.

Bank is a cheapskate. 40 years and they gave a plated watch

Based on my magnifier. It appears to have a lip on it. Maybe as mentioned. An index from the 3:00 side
