This is getting tougher and tougher to let them go. Today I have a recently serviced Gold capped Seamaster 2577 with cal. 354 (movement and caseback photos were taken prior to service). The most outstanding feature of this watch is the dial. A discussion about its originality is here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/very-interesting-seamaster-dial.32847/#post-368013 Case: 34mm, excluding crown, with minor scratches from wear. Lugs: 18mm Crown: signed Crystal: signed Strap: Alligator w/what I believe to be fake aftermarket Omega buckle I'm asking $850.00, including PayPal fees and shipping within the US. Will ship internationally for additional charge. Proof of service can be provided. Returns not accepted unless not as described. Photos considered part of the description. Feel free to PM me with questions.
Or, if that one doesn't take your fancy, blow the same amount of cash on this cruddy looking, un-serviced specimen which is currently on the 'bay: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/VINTAGE-O...187168?hash=item1c77b137e0:g:CRcAAOSwa~BYSC2GPurchases made through these links may earn this site a commission from the eBay Partner Network Come on, don't go for a serviced watch in good condition sold by a trusted member... Who needs original crowns or thick layer of gold capping anyway? Or crisp lettering on a sparkling dial?? Live a little!
Sorry for the out of turn bump but I have added a photo of the back of the dial. It was taken with a cell phone so the quality isn't what I would prefer but, you can see the pin holes where the markers are attached to the dial. It appears to be a case of misaligned holes, causing the marker to be slightly askew. I have had 2 watchmakers and several knowledgeable members state they believe it's original. With @ConElPueblo find, we now have 4 known examples. I hope this puts the mystery to bed.
Sold. Thanks for everyone's help on this one, especially the buyer. Just goes to show that Omega made some funky, yet gorgeous, shit.
