Hey OF
I've read on Desmond's blog that there are fake 168.010 watch out there. I was wondering if this
one raises any flag. I think it looks good and im thinking of buying this piece. Seller told me this was serviced and bought in Brazil.

Serviced? The case looks grungy to me. Gasket chewed up. And I wouldn’t be prepared to acknowledge that the movement might have been serviced until I was shown a much better picture of it. Stained pillar plate, rotor dragging on the under side of the case back,

I suspect “better” pictures will likely confirm my suspicions about it being a watch that has not been serviced.

750 plus service fee worth it?

That price would be realistic for an “honest” example like the subject watch. But there are a lot of indications on the surface that leads me to believe it has a lot of miles on it, and that it has not been thoroughly and professionally serviced! One can only wonder how many bigger problems are lurking beneath the surface. Do not be in a hurry to buy this turkey! You might end up with a very expensive watch once it has been gone through professionally. If the hang tag indicates this might be coming out of Japan, what would you do if you bought it, and changed your mind when you received it?

#1 indicates oxidized plates
#2 indicates chewed screw heads
#3 indicates rotor rubbing n the case back
#4 indicates the surface where the case back gasket goes. Dirt? Corrosion?

Do I need to go on?

Thanks for your advice! I will study, read and research again to find a better timepiece. I really appreciate your help!
