Gold 1960's Seamaster, preferably with a special dial (ribbon/curtain, etc).

I haven't seen one like this before.

The coat hanger 'S' is an early style, the pencil hands are a later style, I suspect this might not be correct

All the Seamaster Devilles until the end of 1962 had a coat hanger "S" and pencil hands. This watch is particularly interesting because it's a kleerback (it has an exhibition case back). If this dial is correct, it means that they produced kleerbacks with unusual dials and that would be an interesting (but hard) find.

This one that I missed on the Bay was such a beauty:

Powered by the 552 inside a solid 14k gold Swiss case, and that dial...

Beautiful dial for sure, but the case looks to have seen a polishing wheel. Or three. You will definitely find a better example!

The overpolished case is the bummer on this piece, but I'd wear it anyway. I'm not in a hurry, I have all the time in the world so I might eventually find a nice one.

Absolutely! And I have a hard time believing I will ever part with my ribbon dial… but never say never and I have definitely noted offering it to you first!

no-T swiss could be correct for 1960~1964, before the T was codified into law.
You are right, but big S with no T on lume dial going with that "special pattern" is redial to me.

The big "S" was introduced in the end of 1962 on that model, if it helps.

This thing puzzles me and you may have never seen it before:

The logo is printed and not applied, which is correct for this manual wound watch. The typo is correct and the crosshair is uninterrupted, which is correct too. Minute markers look genuine and it has a non-luminous no "t" dial. So far, everything checks out, except this concentric rings dial variation that I had never, ever seen. Is this an original Omega dial? Are there other dial variations out there to be discovered? Anyway, if this one is original, it looks really cool.

This watch is currently for sale on Chrono24 at an insane price point ($2400+ for a steel DeVille is really out of this world) FYI.

Thank you! 😟

I know this day will come eventually. I'm just buying my patience, and THEN I'll buy a watch! 😁

Not gold but would you consider a steel with ribbon dial?

Thank you, it's a lovely watch. If it was gold I'd make you an offer without blinking, but I'll hold my breath until I find a gold watch that checks my criteria. 😀

Good luck with the hunt and with patience and a bit of luck you will find something very special some day, unfortunately the special dials don't show up that often but I'm guessing you already noticed that by now 😁
