Dramatically beautiful hue on that wristshot.

Yep, very nice. I don’t like many 6 digit Rolex but I make an exception for that. Sometimes you just have to go grey.

One of my favorites. It’s the classic sub with a color twist. Wear it in good health.

Ok I will ask....not to be rude but what does one pay to close that amazing example in the grey market?

I paid £13,500 but negotiated a buy back from the dealer providing it’s in good condition if I want to part exchange it in the next 2 years.ive promised her indoors that I’ll stop swapping and changing watches for a few years as I had the hulk a few years ago and sold it on as I wasn’t that enamoured with it but since I sold it I really missed it and now this one has become my daily wearer I recently purchased the black version and I’ve not even worn it yet.

From the grey to green you went. Curious to see if Rolex will discontinue the Hulk this year or refresh it.

I put my name on the ‘list’ for green sub at a well known Rolex AD last summer and thought I would check with them when walking past the other day. Anyway, got chatting with the manager who was a nice guy and wearing a BLNR), he explained that he received just 2 new Hulks in the whole of 2019 and that I would probably have to wait another 4-5 years for one. He also thought that it will be the same amount of time before SS models begin to appear in the window again. The moral of this story: taking regular Rolex price increases into account, paying £13k from Watchfinder, or anyone else for that matter, for one now might not seem such a high price to have paid 5 years from now!

Happy New Year all BTW!

Happy new year to you too. Yes, to an extent I agree. I have been sniffing around hulks for the last couple of months. You can buy new from chronext for £12,300 which seems a reasonable price all things considered.

Unfortunately I’ve blown my budget on the Apollo 11so that will have to wait.

it’s really odd. I was stood next to someone in watchfinder 18 months ago as he bought a hulk at £7,700 and thought he was a pillock for paying so much above retail. Shows how much I know....😉

Ha!Ha! Agree. I tried on a brand new Rolex Hulk that had been in the window for sometime (late 2015) at the same AD. It was on sale for £5,500 and they were doing everything they could to encourage me to buy it.

I went for a Tudor BBN 79220N instead for £2,330 - how times have changed but still love the BBN! 🙄😀

I know, same happened to me in 2014. They couldn’t shift the green subs. They had the 50th maxi dial anniversary sub too. Viewed both side by side and picked the LVc after he gave me a 12% discount on it. Think I paid around 4,800 in 2014.

Wish I had got the 50th anniversary sub too.

Bought this from a uk grey dealer sale.
Still had stickers on 2019 model

my colleague has this watch. That green dial is unreal. A lot darker in real life. Simply amazing.

Grey example... sounds like someone taking off sticker and asks for 30% premium

retails for less than 10k $ but you bought as “grey” for way more . They make more money selling as grey than true retail . Sounds like a good business model to me .
Don’t get me wrong . Lovely watch

Congratulations, I also like the green...

(Ok, here I did some fine tuning with the colors...)

And for last, green is not only for the men!
