I've been learning more about the airman both new and old and I've seen the modern base 22 twice now with a dial that seems both incorrect and not logical. Is this fake? I don't understand why a dial would be numbered this way. Most dials I have seen have the 24 at the top of the dial. 馃槙

Yes this is real and a nice looking modern Glycine. Check this link @agee posted on a FS thread, it's Andres book. I've got a hard copy but first time I've seen it available virtual. Great resource and thanks for sharing Agee.

Thank you sir! I learned yet again! I don't care for that format and think it would be confusing but hey......it's all good. 馃憤

I really enjoy vintage Glycine and as Zuke pointed out for 200-400USD more you can get into an excellent example, just do your homework on the hacking mechanism if you go vintage. They also wear bigger then the case size due to the longer lugs. Won't get you to 42mm but won't wear small.
As for difficulty telling time on a 24h, no issues plus most vintage models have a tail on the hour hand you can use as a cheat for 12h time. Few examples below to help motivate you馃榾
Has nobody said it yet? Did I forget? DIBS!
