Bosnian but ordered it in Croatia where I have house and spend summer there. I did it as watch is from UK and there is no customs between UK and Croatia.

Congratulations on the purchase, the GM is in my opinion one of Omegas hidden gems. I hope you enjoy it.

also bought mine recently, and I can't part with it. please share your thoughts once you've had some time with it.

After few days of owning this watch I just wanna say that I am really satisfied with my choice 😀
Also I was worried about bracelet as everywhere I was reading that it is bad and uncomfortable one. But for now it feels more comfortable than my previous AT bracelet.
I have no idea if GM is much lighter than AT but I just like how it feels on my wrist.

Right now I test its accuracy in "dial up" position, and it is little strange how bracelet can't be "collapsed" all the way down so watch is staying in strange position (not "sitting" on clasp but stays in the air), but again it is good as clasp will not scratch case back. I know that you have no idea what I am talking about if you never saw it, but sorry I can't explain better 😎

I get you, the bracelet behaves like scales, they are very integrated.

Convention dictates that one should only have “one girl”. Well, that’s how I feel, anyway. But only one watch? On days when I can’t decide which ONE is my favourite, I’ll wear two, or three! I have favourites I don’t even wear. Too old. Too fragile. Today I am wearing two Gruens which I have added to my collection in the last month. And my Hamilton 950B pocket watch.

I noticed this addition to tag that I got with watch. I assume that it indicate that in my GM there is 0.01g of Gold. But where is it exactly and what is different comparing to Aqua Terra which have similar surfaces and materials as my Globemaster?

And this is first time that I see this information on my watch tag.

Might be the star on the dial - i cant tell if its applied or not... 0.01g is too light to be the markers / hands.

Hey guys just one quick question about Globemaster or better to say about 8900 movement

Is there something as overwinde protection in 8900? I just took of my watch and decided to winde it so it will have full power reserve for weekend (first time that I decided to do it).

I started to winde with crown I felt that it was little stiff so I just wanted to stop windeing it when I heard "click". It is closest sound to sound of date change.

I didnt try to move crown after that. Watch is ticking normaly.

So is this normal or did I break something?

Sounds like the clutch mechanism engaging and if so, that's all normal. It means it's fully wound yet continuing to hand wind won't do any harm.

Since today I’ve got the perfect bracelet for my beloved Globemaster. Staib Milanaise, all brushed.

Makes me want a Globemaster. My AD tried to talk me into one. I like the dial and the blue is perfect as a single collection watch. I don't see a problem with that.
That said a Grand Seiko for the price might be the better buy since it seems like that keeps coming up.

Congratulations on the purchase. I've had my opaline silver GM for 2 years now and still love it. The blue GM is a fan favorite, the pie pan definitely pops more in that version with the sunburst finish, and the variations of blue are stunning, so I can see the attraction to it. I'm personally more attracted to the opaline silver version precisely for the subtlety of it. It doesn't jump out, and the changes of the pie pan facets from dimensional to appearing sometimes visually flat with the changes in light, almost looks like form disappearing into smoke. I've heard the silver version accused of being austere, but what some my find strict or cold, I find subtle and intently quiet, which I find keeps my interest in passion in it. I have the bracelet and dark grey leather strap, and I like them both. The bracelet really brings out the silver in the hands and indices, where as I find the dark strap really brings out the darkened qualities in the hands and indices in certain light. I'm glad that multiple versions exist... something for all the GM fans.
