Gigandet Wakmann Incabloc…Worth anything?

I was given this Gigandet Wakmann Incabloc watch for helping a friend move. I know nothing about vintage watches. Does anyone have any info or knowledge they can drop on me about this watch?

Looks like it’ll be a Valjoux 72 movement inside. That puts a decent “floor” on the price as it’s a sought after movement. If it runs and the movement is clean it should be a minimum of $1000. I’ll help your friend next time 😁

Looks like this will clean up very nicely and I concur that you should be able to get at least $1000 for it. It seems to be an honest watch.

A friend did me wrong in a business deal for only $200 and she made up for it by giving me a box of watches that she thought had little value. She thought this watch was cheap because it had a cheap band. Funny part of the story is this watch was given to me in a box with a couple fossil watches, and a Swiss Army watch. She had no idea what it was worth. Had she not screwed me over originally I might not have kept the watch. But it’s mine now!
