You鈥檇 have to be a pretty big Clooney fan to drop the kind of coin this is already commanding (with many hours still to go on the auction) for this reference. Awesome watch, charming actor and a good dude, but yikes.
I sort of remember almost-whole-collection sales of watches from Stallone and Crowe鈥攎aybe a few others over the years. It would be pretty cool to wear a watch you know was worn by a public figure you admire. Probably only three people on this site will care, but a few years back there was a big Grateful Dead auction that included a cool radio-connected watch that Bill Graham had inscribed and gifted to Phil Lesh. I was funding-up and preparing to go big on that lot, and then they (inexplicably) yanked it from the sale. Boo.
