Any more info from the AD? Was it on display all that time? Did they keep replacing the battery? How was it priced compared to the current X33? Was it on display?

Love the warranty is valid.

I too have an as new X33, but mine was won in a competition and the.winner stuck it in a drawer until I bought it. Decades

Your find is better, congratulations!
The AD is a very small and very old jeweler in my (rural PA) area that apparently was an Omega dealer for many years but is no longer an AD. I had passed through 2-3 years ago and seen the watch, but I hadn’t really given it much attention at the time. It was the only Omega that they had left. I was priced on the tag (from 1998/99?) at $2595, so I imagine that was a very hard sell at the time out in the country. I stopped back in a month ago, and shockingly it was still there! I struck a deal for less than the MSRP. It is complete with box, papers, stickers, warranty card and it was on the black Kevlar strap, which I swapped to a simple gray NATO. I’m told they had replaced the battery from time to time. Unfortunately, it has continued to show the ‘quirk’ of the minute hand stopping for 5-10 minutes, but the second hand continues to turn and the digital time is accurate. I think (as noted) I’ll pack it up for a warranty repair. If an updated movement (I have seen reference to the 1666D) can be installed, I think that may be the best result. Thanks for the notes! This is an unexpected ‘barn find’ and I’m really enjoying it! Have a great weekend!

That's too bad it is still happening but also what a Score that it is under warranty for the repair! What's another couple of months when you've been waiting for decades to wear it. 😀 Or it's been waiting decades for you to wear it...whichever.

That is awesome you found an NOS one!

And, I also have a gen 1 and the CR2320 is the correct battery for it- I'm not sure where the other battery info came from. The fact it ran at all when they stated it is pretty amazing. Unused batteries generally have a 10-year shelf life.

Further, mine was acting like a dying battery, and it turned out to be dirty battery contacts. So, always clean the contacts well when changing the battery.

And beware, the titanium back screws into titanium case will gall (lock in place) very easily, so ALWAYS use a tiny drop of anti-seize compound on the screws every time. Make sure your drivers are perfectly manicured as well. These screws are chewed up more often than not due to low hardness and bad drivers used improperly...

Very interesting history on the development of this watch, if you weren't aware. Form truly follows function on it, and I appreciate that! (mine says hi!)
