Have been seeing these off catalogue items appearing on instagram, my question is purely out of interest, what is the retail and how much are you expected to have spent to ask for one of these?

Thanks

Got any photos? Are these definitely genuine Omega i.e. factory set or after market "iced out" modifications?

Copy Cats changed the hands on the Canopus, I wonder where they got that idea.....

Given the scant lack of detail I'm voting for Photoshop until proven otherwise...

If it’s on the internet it must be true………after all there are no fakes or lies on the net!

Yup. It's quite interesting that these are so unknown, whilst they do certainly exist. One popped up on Insta with 1965tnk recently, seems to be the account of a serious collector. 😀 My take is that these really have been released by Omega, yet on a very, very limited scale.

For what it's worth, there is even a reference number for the one pictured above: 310.554.250.520.001

It’s hard to imaging Omega would do this and not advertise it in some way. Maybe @Robert-Jan has some insight.

I don't know why people are always surprised when they see gem set watches. There is a market for these, especially in the Middle East. Once when visiting the AP factory they pulled out tray after tray of iced out watches, like platinum Royal Oaks completely gem set (case and bracelet) with matched baguette diamonds. When asked why they do that they said there is a market for them and then they asked us, 'what do you think helps fund the R&D for the company?' It's a business and the purpose of a business is to make money. These watches aren't for the guy who collects steel Speedmasters here on OF.

Pretty sure Rolex does a lot of iced- and blinged-out bedazzled pieces that aren’t on any easy-to-access menu, but are there for the having if you (or the personal shopper who drives your platinum card around town in your second-best Rolls) knows whom to ask.

Guessing these are of that ilk.

I love Omega as much as anyone here. But if I were going to drop what I can only assume would be more than 100k on a watch, it’s not the first brand I’d think of.
