Looks like it's going to open down around 40% today circa $135

Time to fire management for poor performance

I decided I was wasting too much time on the whole thing and dumped my 300 AMC shares yesterday at $14.15. I was regretting not selling at open TBH since it trended down all morning and then went flat most the day. So grand total since last Wednesday I made $265. I could have done a LOT better if I had dumped them all the same day I bought them, but c'est la vie.

I guess I'm "paper hands". This morning that looks like it was a good idea, but wasn't in the spirit of things that you buy and hold to reduce available shares.

As @Speedmasterfan88 stated though, the media coverage of this is trying to push a BS narrative - no one on WSB other than newly created accounts is trying to push silver - that's 100% a false story being promoted by all the news outlets to distract from what they are actually doing. Volume on GME was low yesterday because the Redditors aren't selling, and were being subjected to ladder attacks - basically where the same group of shares are being traded back and forth in milliseconds for fractions of a cent less each time.

Another one that makes utterly no sense is KOSS - that went from $3 on tuesday to $125 briefly on Wednesday or Thursday, then down by about half, and lost a lot of ground yesterday. But there was almost no chatter about KOSS other than it being one of the restricted stockts. What happened to it is kind of what I thought was going to happen to AMC and it never did. I have yet to see a good explanation for what sparked that.

There are actually a lot of people who have been pushing silver for years, but the recent additions to the cause are likely frauds getting some of their GME losses back. Everyone was clearly warned though, because even the frauds told everyone that silver is extremely manipulated. The people manipulating are the best there is and they clearly have the deepest pockets.

TD Ameritrade emailed to inform me that I violated securities rules with my AG trade from Thursday and Monday. I feel like I鈥檝e joined the big time. 馃榾

Apparently trading with unsettled cash in a non-margin account isn鈥檛 okay, but in my defense it鈥檚 not my fault that they鈥檙e slow. I鈥檓 happy to report that I鈥檝e been let off with a warning.

You didn鈥檛 need to hear this, but I didn鈥檛 have anyone else to tell. Carry on, and thanks for being here.

I didn't do any GME/AMC trades but what you're describing pretty much accuses everyone into equities, day trader or not.

Isn't Gamestop the Blockbuster of video games? Why does it still exist at all?

Mall retailer, I believe. It's days are numbered, but now it's name has been immortalized.

It's basically a Funko Pop distributor at this point.

I did find the article Tony c posted interesting. People on wsb did make what could be taken as very incriminating comments if their actually purchases were timed with their comments. I wonder if the sec would take the time and effort to go after these guys.

I am officially out of meme stocks as of this morning. In the end, I made ~8X on the initial gambling money. Now, to rotate the cash into something boring for the long haul.

I've been too afraid to check WSB. I have a feeling that the loss porn may be less amusing than usual...

I cannot remember the last time I bought clothes at a B&M store. I think a bought a T-shirt on vacation in the last few years. Like others have said, B&M are like a horse and buggy.

Blockbuster wasn't regularly selling it's customers $500+ dvd players.

No GameStop is just hated by consumers and by the game companies.
They have zero reason to exist in today鈥檚 market. Brick and mortar games sales is dwindling and target, Walmart, and Bestbuy do a much better job at a higher profit per square foot of space dedicated to games.

GameStop exists due to the used games racket which makes the industry hate them.

Microsoft recently made a deal to give Gamestop a cut of digital game sales. Whether they hate them or not Gamestop seems to be of some value to them over those other retailers.

The problem is to everyone else, their incessant pitch to every customer at least twice per interaction hurts the developers. As if someone buys a game new for 60, then sells it back for 15 credit in 1 week, the 2nd person buys it at 45 and Gamestop pockets $50 on that second transaction. This means they get to double-dip and the developers sell fewer copies.

The game companies got around it a bit with inbox DLC that could only be used by the original buyer, and the 2nd buyer had to pay 15 bucks for ensuring the developer made $15 on the second purchase.

I used to hate my yearly trek to Gamestop HQ and have to pitch my titles and promise them they would get the best DLC. TBH most people I knew that were in that position almost always gave Gamestop the worst preorder DLC exclusive on purpose and lie that it was the best lol.
