A rare opportunity to own and wear a real WWII issued US Navy Canteen Watch
used by the Underwater Demolition Team (UDT) Navy Frogmen
This watch is Real, not a reproduction. These canteen watches are highly sought after by collectors
and are very hard to find. My watch is all Correct and Original except for the lead that went around the inside of the crystal. This lead was used to waterproof the crystal. Here are the details:
-USN BuShips (Bureau of Ships) on the dial with Hamilton blacked out but still visible above 6:00
-Manual Wind Hamilton 987s 17 Jewel Movement (only 22,000 of these movements were produced for the Navy during WWII)
-Hacking mechanism works (second hand stops when crown pulled out)
-Keystone Case Company Case -"W" between the lugs-correct for the watch
-Dust Cover
-Case back serial number matches the movement serial number-see pictures
-Just completely overhauled, serviced/cleaned and new staff installed by my watch man
-Running and keeping good time
-Chrome case top with some brassing around the crown and around the edges-
consistent with an issued watch from WWII
-Steel case back with correct military inscriptions and numbers
-Measures approx 40 mm lug to lug x 32 mm not including crown
-Movement pictures below were taken before the watch was serviced-
new old stock gaskets were installed by my watch man after the pictures were taken
-No strap or bars included
I am selling this watch because I have another in my collection

Wow! This looks like a great piece! If I wasn't so "watch broke", I would be all over this. GLWS!

Thanks for all the nice words and comments
Interesting trades and offers considered for this hard to find first military issued diver-
Would consider trading toward a 1960's Speed Master,
SM 300, and all steel vintage military style chronograph/pilot watch-looking for a 1960's Navitimer
Selling this watch because I have another in my collection
