Finally up for sale is this true Gem of a watch.
Worn hard and will give you goosebumps with all the adventure this watch has had.
Your wrist will never be the same.

Want to show those desk diver types at the office who is not a couch potato.... Boom

Snoopyish style blue bezel that everyone is looking for nowadays.

Sold head only ( I know but the NATO means a lot to me so that will be extra and I know it annoyed someone here a few weeks ago )

Runs well but I don’t really tell the time with it as time doesn’t exist where I live.

Picked our first pineapple wearing this watch

Recently Serviced about 5 years ago by @JimInOz ( was free but I have included the extra $400 for a bottle of scotch for him that I never sent him )

Hands have been relumed.
Case has never been polished. Probably eroded by life would be a better term to explain the case
Bezel has a scratch at 40 but very hard to notice
Dial replaced with a NOS one hence the listing as NOS
Crystal is see through

Picture before it was serviced

Again this has been my good luck charm for years resulting in several memorable fish being caught while this was strapped to my wrist

Now for the price. I have taken in all the experiences I have had with this watch and the current price of the Snoopy 3 on chrono 24 to come up with below. ( not forgetting the $400 for the $100 bottle of scotch I owe Jim and postage to Melbourne by a courier that doesn’t drink which is hard to find in Darwin )

$28,400.00US net to me.
Would prefer face to face locally but will ship at buyers expense.

References galore if you need them
Just PM

This is a watch with nothing but provenance.
And should this watch have an apt and personal inscription from a loved one, it’s value would be unquestioned, “fish big(or don’t come back) me”.
I have an engraving tool.

Is it still available?

Had plenty of offers,

Got some guy trying to swap it for a gold watch that was Peter Philips
Sounds like he is French or something as he keeps spelling Peter as Patek

Speaking of Philipps - perhaps an auction would garner the best price for you on a unique example such as this.

If you get two hipster fintech billionaires bidding against each other - sky's the limit! ::psy::

You know, the only thing that would make that watch more collectible is putting a Company Logo on the dial.

I wonder how much a watchmaker would charge for that?

I think the crystal has been polished. It doesn't match the condition of the rest of the watch.

EDIT: According to Speedmaster101, your watch is only "Good." I know it has sentimental value to you but you priced it based on "Excellent." I have studied Speedmaster101 extensively and I am sorry to say that you are not within the guidelines so must sell it to me for the actual market price, which is considerably less. Sorry, I didn't make the chart, I only follow it.

.......................

Of course it has. BUT IT IS THE ORIGINAL SEIKO CRYSTAL!

During servicing the original crystal was carefully extracted.
It was then washed in Bunnings Distilled Water before being placed on an Orrefors glass surface table.
A JIO-Roto lens polisher was then mounted and the crystal successively polished with increasingly fine grades of diamond paste, with final polish done with very hard to obtain 0.0000005 micron "Final Finish" polish as used by the best diamond polishers in NYC.

So when it left my hands, the crystal was flawless and could easily have been categorised as "FL".

What the owner did with the watch after it was returned to him is completely beyond my control, but be aware that every small imperfection added to an item only increases its provenance, and also its desireability.

@STANDY I understand that you are trying to get to the larger international market here with going with “,” as decimal separator. On top of that you are trying to build legend around this honest, awesome and magnificent Seiko. You are almost there... If you would include insured and international shipment in this reasonable price offering, extract from this OF thread - print out obviously, fish from the ad, genuine and heavy Australian rock, a bag of red desert Australian soil, I am convinced that this legendary time keeper, who has seen the whole Australia - swamps, bottom of the oceans and deserts would be able to find someone to tell his story. I dare you to describe each instance with the vivid details of your surroundings, that you can remember, when this beautiful piece was honoring your wrist from the time it came into your possession until you decided to let it go for this fantastic price!

I'm in full agreement here, but I just think if it were to be a genuine and completely full 'full set' it would also include the original birth certificates of both @STANDY 's parents. I see no mention of these docs, which makes me slightly dubious as to the 'full set' claims.

OP, perhaps you can clarify?

GLWTS 🥰

Well if you could pick up my mother’s Birth certificate in the Netherlands
(I could get dual citizenship👍)
Mrs STANDY always comments I’m as tight as a Dutchman when shopping...

Father well he was made not born. Hard man he was, drink, work and fight like a brown dog. True gentleman but hard as nails. Left school at 12 to become a butcher when his father passed away, fighting in the ring at 15 for extra money.
( keep hearing relatives saying “they don’t make them like him anymore” )

Bunnings, possibly the finest distilled water in the world available only with a $1 sausage, white bread and tomato sauce. Onions optional.
