I am glad to say technology has improved in the last 100 years but even so it's not to difficult to drive a manual non synchro gearbox car but power steering would be a great benefit!

1928 Austin light16/6. 100% original and unmodified.

Still together after all these years. 39 years ago this month this bundle of joy came into my life.

Needs paint again, but still a fυcking blast. Turn up the volume and smell the hydrocarbons.

Love it!

My BIL has had one gathering dust in a garage for about 15 years. I keep asking him if he wants to sell it but he's a country boy and it has more value to him as "just being my car" than any money I could offer.

I've often been tempted to "steal" it so that it could get some TLC.

Added some classic Bronco script badging in favor of the OEM trim level badging.

Messy garage is messy.

Ran into a V-10 E60 M5 the other day, I know they’re maintenance heavy but damn, still want one

Fabulous! That sounds really angry.
Sounds like you’ve got a long duration, close lobe cam in that beastie…

Love the house, never been a fan of that car make.
You don't find many abandoned houses or derelict houses in my country.
Have never been to the states but house hunting for those sort of House's would be a definite draw card for me.

You must have missed the part where it said NC. In some parts of North Carolina that house would be fully occupied and considered move-in ready. The car? Oh that's Junior's grocery getter!

Just heard this morning. Terrible news. I just watched his new Las Vegas Gymkhana the other day and he was just starting an exciting new chapter with Audi. Leaves behind a wife and three kids… shame.

Hard hit for the automotive world for sure.
Not only a talent behind the wheel but in business as well.
I mean just a good all around human being from my understanding. He'll be truly missed.

In lighter news, I was finally able to get the Bronco a little dirty this weekend! And I mean just a little dirty.
Hit 1000 miles so figured it was time to make sure the 4wd worked. Although it was totally unnecessary hah.

The 2 year old loved it though!

Nice car, but I think they missed the boat.

To start a new model in 2023 as a top of the line flagship and have it petrol? that memo got lost somewhere.

All the same its a very nice car and might end up a classic last gasp of the internal combustion age.

Ehh. I'm unsure. Looks like they took styling cues from a handful of other car companies and threw them all together in one.
Not saying it's bad, just, unoriginal, maybe.

1970s lowered family hauler vs. 2020s lifted family hauler.
The size difference is comical.

THAT is such a yummy sound!
Sounds awesome! Was the engine ever rebuilt? Reminds me of the sound of a Rebello built L engine. And I mean that as a compliment! I've got a soft spot for old Datsuns; they were the first cars I learned to turn a wrench on. My old man used to race & autocross 510's and my uncle had a carport full of like 4 or 5 240's & 260's back in the late 90s/early 2000s.

Rebello engines are some of the finest specimens to behold!

First car Datsun 510, second car Datsun 610 (still have the L18 SSS I built for this one), third car the 240Z I still have.

The motor was built by what was then Arcadia Datsun who at the time were very active in off-road truck racing, they knew how to build a motor. I bought the car from the son in law of my HS auto-shop teacher. He had cooked the motor took it to them and wanted them to build him a "motor". Lots of parts from what was then Datsun Competition, including their slalom grind cam kit (Racer Brown was doing their cams at the time) triple Webers, pistons, head work, etc. The motor was a bit too much for him but just perfect for me! I've since upgraded to modern ignition, Mallory Unilite with MSD 6AL. I've added a Japan market option 5-speed (basically the same box as used in the 2000 Roadster) and a Quaife ATB Limited Slip Differential and four piston front calipers from Datsun Competition way back when. It's still a numbers matching car.

Wow, a “car focused country club” is right! The members sure aren’t toting golf clubs in any of these cars. Tell us more about this country club, please. Amazing…
