Been planting the bug in my wife's ear about wanting a C8 Corvette in the next couple of years - If I traded my 2017 WRX and all 3 Rolex watches I could get the base model with no upgrades, but then she's know what the Rolex are really worth...

Just think how these roads would be just now?

Pictures of my road trip from Finland down thru only alpine small roads to St Tropez - Lago Maggiore around the French, Italian, Swiss and Austrian Alps to mention a few places.

Can anyone guess the locations where these pictures where taken?

Still waiting for the timing to be right to pick up an Alpine White E36 M3, 1995 specifically.

Question for the UK contingent concerning the lockdown- did I miss the memo about all speed restrictions being cancelled? What the hell is going on? Everyone is doing a million mph and every hyper car/ super car/ super bike is on the road at the mo. Saw the big mad McLaren the other day , just going down the shops.

Sadly many of these Porsche CGTs have been crashed...
Still my favourite car in the world. The Le Mans V10 is just insane.

I am not being facetious: can this be fixed? I mean, anything can be fixed provided one pays for the repairs, but I don't know the details on how this car is built. Is this salvageable or not? 👎

In any case, what a waste to go down like this.

I suspect that the world supply of the Mirage Gemballa CGT has now been reduced from 25 to just 24. I don't think it is fixable. I watched a video of the crash (BC arrested for DUI) and it has to have converted the frame into a horseshoe.

[EDIT - 3 hours later I find this video where goonzquad or JR Garage may want to buy the wreck and rebuild it. Someone said BC just lost his mom and brother to CoVid-19 and went all self destructive. Don't know the whole story yet.]

I wouldn't be surprised if it can be fixed.
I mean Mr. Bean wrecked his F1 TWICE and it was fixed both times.

If that is true about his family, that definitely sucks.
But he has a history of wrecking nice cars (Ben Chen, not Mr. Bean)...

Did you see the one on Bring A Trailer that sold for $18k?
Was tempted, but I don't need/want that much of a project.
Also so sad to see such a car in that condition.

Hey Brad! No, I wasn’t aware of this “project” LTW on BaT. A few months ago, a good friend of mine sold his for about 65k, and it was in great condition. The ones previously owned by Paul Walker sold for insane money, due to the provenance of them, obviously.

At any rate, a 964 would certainly be a great option... but they are also very pricey!!

What all have you been working on?

A number of small things. The mechanicals were in great shape when I bought it, but the car had suffered thru South West summers for a while. I cut and detailed the paint, am now finishing install of new carpet set. New H1s with relay, new Targa top, and pulling out 10 miles of wiring for an elaborate 1980s stereo (cassette!)

It’s a nice car.

Since we're all stuck at home, i've retrimmed the interior of the 3 and fitted new seats and a roll bar. There goes my next speedy budget...
