Crazy what they are getting out of super saloons nowadays. 3.3 seconds to 60 in a 2 tonne car. Hopefully is brakes as well as it goes. :)

My 1951 Ford woody wagon, bought new by my paternal grandfather then immediately traded in because my grandmother found it too "trucky". My maternal grandfather then heard about it and bought it for his fishing camp in eastern Quebec where it still lives to this day :) A beast to drive (basically a truck), 2-foot steering wheel for leverage, flathead V8 239 CI same as the local fire truck (!), 3 on the tree shifting.

    So how is it?
    I'm definitely intrigued by them.
And I'm not a brand-snob by any means, but does any of it still seem/feel like a Kia? lol

I did some consulting work for Kia in the Nineties - the products were awful. The quality issues on the Sportage then were astonishing in their range, variety and number. I see that since then they have established a much more technologically/stylistically-managed brand, and, superficially at least, the vehicles are looking and behaving better. But, like most Far-East production, the range is mainly selling on undercutting price-points, and the aesthetics and driving experience are soulless - fine if you want an inexpensive means of A to B transport, but not the stuff of Petrol Heads!

Now, for something with soul, come West:
