Man! A Tucker in the flesh!!!! What about 50 of those left? Really nice catch, thanks for posting it!
One of my all time favorites. Nearly bought one in the early 80's, passed on it and have regretted it ever since. Photo borrowed from the web.
Been enjoying this thread. I am in the process of getting this car repainted. It is a '73 911 E that has been tweaked into an RSR configuration bit by bit over the past 25 years. Currently fitted with a 2.8 liter Mechanical Fuel Injection, twin plug motor. A full color change is planned, changing from Light Yellow to Tangerine. Planning to have it all finished by autumn of 2018. I found the mechanical Russian Aircraft Clock, with both local time on the large face and two integral elapsed time stop clocks - one 12 Hr "flight clock", and a second 1hr clock. All run independent of the others. I can imagine this was the kind of aircraft clock fitted to a Tupelov Tu-95 Bear on those extended reconnaissance flightsthat the USSR conducted in the 1970's. I have it regulated and running well. I plan to find a spot in the cockpit to install it.
Same car. It lives near me in Newport Beach. I see it a few times a year. Even without the history the car has road presence.
From Paisley (Scotland) to Monte Carlo http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-scotland-glasgow-west-42886433 Hillman Imps' lucky to make the end of the street when they were new and that was if you were fortunate enough to get them started with the automatic chokes fitted. Not exactly the greatest hour of UK car production although as a youngster I admit I did have a hankering for the 'California' edition Good luck to them all
Ok! it's not Friday but driving daughters car today I had to snap this dash view, tell this old boy how do they obtain this image ? Apologies for not saying 'please'
