Most digital cameras do this on the fly to clean up distortion. DSLR’s do it based on the lens attached. Hence the debate about raw files that are not actually raw and retain the distortion post processing.

·Current state of my '73 E/RSR as it morphs from Light Yellow to Tangerine. Three coats of yellow were removed: original, and two subsequent partial to complete resprays... Car had a total failure of all paint. Topside surfaces looked like an alligator skin, which is what drove the decision to do a bare metal repaint.
umm.... So... is the color change from Light Yellow to Tangerine equivalent of a dial refinish on a watch?
2.8 liter short stroke, twin plug, Mechanical Fuel Injected motor winds up to 8500 RPM, but I have it chipped at 7700 for more longevity:
