Normally I appreciate the postie popping by, however this morning he popped backwards (aka reversed) into my better half's Golf. With me in it.... I saw his reversing lights, but had nowhere to escape.
Sounding the horn didn't work either since, by his own account, his stereo was turned up too loud. :whipped:

No harm except for a sad postie and a mad owner (aka not me). Just piles of hassle to get stuff sorted.
At least the Royal Mail is able to pay.

I hope he was delivering some watches to you - otherwise, I would have lynched him.

No rope at hand. And he was at the neighbors. 😡

Ouch , he got you good.

Excellent photo documentation.
Ok, so my perception of the Scandinavian nations is that of civility in all manners of commerce.

You need to put your first class negotiating skills to good use.

I would settle for no less than;

1. New door skin, factory primed

2. New fender, all new marker lights

3. The entire driver side must me re-painted; factory specs for paint thickness. No blending, no plastic "Bondo" whatsoever.

Do you lease or own? If you own, demand a "diminished" value claim - reimbursement.

Not certain of your insurance laws but I'm sure they match ours...

No plastic!!!

It's the car equivalent of refinishing a dial .

I will never forgive Chrysler for killing off this car!😡

1967 Sunbeam Tiger...these had a Ford 260/289 V8 under the hood. Something about a British roadster with American muscle under the hood!👍

For those not in the know...

289 was always a nice motor . Runs like a top - super flat - great balance.

Today it went in to the workshop. AD one.
- New door.
- New fender.
- Full re spray of both at VW spec.
- Free car provided as long as it takes.
Unfortunately there is no reimbursement but again all damaged parts are fully replaced and it should not matter for the resell price as no structural damage was inflicted.

Apart from the bloody waste of time having it arranged the rest is paid for.
If it had been my Lotus the postie would have had other worries on top.
😵‍💫😡

And something for a road trip in summer.
Roads in the area, and a spot you leave your car a bit away from....

Best part is that having driven the hairpin road down there's only one way out of this place, back up the same road😗!

That's nice - no reason not to turn off the traction control and have a little bit of fun. 😉

Anyone fancy a slightly different tack ?
How about your first car with some oomph ?

My first, and boy did I fancy myself 😀 A teenager with a Jag, I can now see how I failed to impress most mothers 🙁

Took the beast out after weeks on the charger.
Here's the GT-R a month and 4+ feet of snow ago:

I never liked how those old Targas looked until they released the new 991 Targa with that styling and now I love them
