I’m very pleased with my Titanium Planet Ocean after a service from Omega Canada. It took 7 weeks but it looks great. I haven’t had it long enough to check the timing but I’m sure it’s fine. It’s nice to have it back. They included all the parts they replaced as well.
Did they not include the timing card to show you their test? Beautiful watch! You're now good for another five (or so) years!!!
I had my AD send it and I didn’t get the timing card from them. I saw what they had and I didn’t see the timing card in the package. I’ll just check it with my phone app. 5 years would be great. Hopefully a bit longer but 5 is good. This is a great watch.
Looks absolutely mint! Did they treat scratches or otherwise restore or the case or bracelet? I've heard differing things about how titanium can be restored by Omega (and told that Tudor won't do it at all in many cases).
I purchased the watch used. It had been in service since 2014. I was losing 3-4 seconds per day and the bezel would turn in both directions so I thought it was time for a fresh start. . see the attached photo They completely restored the case and bracelet. It looks like new now!
Looks superb! Did they take care of hairline scratches and swirls on the lugs and polished parts of the case?? I've got so many on my speedmaster and hoping when I send it in for a service next year they can sort it.
Yes they did. The case looks like new again as well. I’m sure yours will be the same if you send it in.
That looks great. 7 weeks is quite a while. I just send mine in for repair (Miami service center) and I hope it gets turned around a bit quicker.
Understanding that I wear my watch for everything including bed, I’ve tracked the time for a week on my phone app. It gains .5 seconds per day. Thats incredible as far as I’m concerned. Thanks to whomever did the service on my watch. It’s awesome!
That's great to hear. Mine isn't due for service for another few years. I wear mine nonstop non-stop and mine runs 2-2.2 seconds fast a day
Omega generally provides very good maintenance and repair services. If you want your watch returned in like new condition, Omega is a good, albeit expensive, choice. The problem comes when they do more than requested even when you tell them not to. The classic example is them replacing tritium dials on vintage Speedmasters with luminova service dials and significantly devaluing the watch in the process. I wouldn’t hesitate to send a modern Omega to them for service, but I wouldn’t let them touch a vintage model. There are also many independent Omega qualified watchmakers who will competently perform maintenance service and repairs for less than Omega will charge and will do only what you ask them to do.
