Love the one-piece strap on that LeJour(correction- whatever that sassy polychrome watch is) 😉
Hi JW! I bought it just before the Covid stuff happened. Scooped it up after reading about it on Hodinkee. The strap really makes the watch. At 33 mm it feels just right. Thanks for the pattern!

The 18mm light brown pigskin strap arrived today and is beautiful. It suits my 30T2 perfectly! I donated $100 to the Fishes and Loaves foodbank in Uxbridge Ontario.

Look what has arrived! Changed my mind and put on my 30T2 civilian watch for now as the colour so beautifully complimented the lume! Thank you @Duracuir1 !!

This surprised me so much in person, it is a delight to look at and it’s so comfortable to wear too! Oh and by the way this leather is just beautiful and it smells amazing - haha! A real lovely gift to receive in my postbox this morning.

A couple of notes for if you make a batch again - I would probably go with slightly thinner leather as it was a little tough pushing through the lugs, and just making the keepers a little tighter as even if they’re tight to start with, they will loosen up with time

These are such tiny points though that even if you made more just like this without any alteration everyone I am sure will fall for them just as I have done. I have a feeling this leather will just get better and better with age - so I’m excited to give it a fair bit of use and allow it to develop a Patina of its own.

This is the beauty of quality leather, the wearer can create a real personal connection with it as it will age in its own unique way directly as a result of how it has been worn and used. This is known as emotionally durable design, because these deep connections lead to people keeping an item rather than replacing it and I love that as I strongly oppose the “throwaway society” that many manufacturers are encouraging.

I’m not sure if you can tell but I am a happy bunny and this evening after I finish work I will pick my charity and make a donation!

Thanks again!

Lovely watch and the dark brown strap looks amazing! Seeing that radium sub-second dial inspired me to try my new strap on a 9k Dennison case 30T2, and I have to say - I think it looks pretty good! Thanks to the talents and generosity of Duracuir1, I now have the perfect companion for both 30T2 watches. Thanks again!

It was a very hard decision choosing which to go for, each choice has its own unique charm 😀

Working 6 days a week until September so any leather work will be slow, but I picked up a decent glove today. Will slowly plug away and hope to post new straps eventually. If you are still waiting for one that I shipped to you, there is hope, I got a PM from someone who received his strap today. If you are still waiting by the time I post the next batch, Dibs for you.

Nice group of leather there! You should find another one and use these parts to make back pockets on a pair of pants

@Duracuir1,
My 22mm strap just arrived and it looks great. Before I knew it I was installing it. The Seiko Field Compass may be somewhat of an odd duck but I like it, and the strap makes it looks fantastic! Thanks very much.

I picked up an old saddle on my way home from work this afternoon. I already had a nice one, but this one, despite being too damaged for riding, offers a ton of leather and will certainly be turned into all types of watch straps! On the small TV in the background is John Wayne. And that is a nice coincidence!
