Case is very polished, buckle is fake.

An attractive and wearable (not collectable) watch at half the price.

Nothing wrong with getting a new Omega if you haven't bought vintage before.

The price of gold is high, but not that high. ;)

    The condition is not collector-quality.

A new vintage-style watch might be a good choice. It takes a lot of experience to understand the valuation of vintage watches.

Personally, I would much prefer the OP’s 18-karat Seamaster to the modern one. I like almost everything about it, except the price. This is awful close to $3,700.00 (Cdn.). That is out of my neighbourhood. Add the cost of a thorough service, and I suggest you keep looking. Most folks who are interested in karat gold watches think in terms of scrap gold price, plus a premium. Or about half the asking price. Check the archives on eBay to see what similar watches actually sell for.

That’s because it is a limited edition.
