Ahh shit- US and Forstner...gonna have to buy both to compare- crap. And the Bonklip forthcoming- just in time to take the leather off for the steamy months.

Just saw it has solid endlinks- this is a deal- breaker for me. Part of the charm of doing a retro-bracelet is the hollow endlinks and narrow friction fit clasp- otherwise it’s just not right.

I totally get this sentiment, but here’s why it doesn’t bother me here: first, it’s not trying to be a faithful recreation, so the absence of certain details is not critical. It’s not like Omega is doing it, it’s just a nice, alternative bracelet option.

Further, I have a number of flat-links, and while I like them all, and they are my favorite, the hollow, flimsy end-links have to be tweaked often by bending the little tabs to make sure they sit right between the lugs. Plus...I’m guessing a tad cheaper than a 7912?

Looks as if this pre-production bracelet has already removed some of the wearers arm hair, just like the originals

I have very hairy wrists and have worn 1039s for years without ever having a single hair pulled... they're not as bad as they look like they could be

Ha! I can assure you that this bracelet wasn’t the hair puller. My hairs have been getting pulled by watch bands since long before I began this venture.

Happy to provide more detail! Here are some basics: solid end links, mixture of flex and removable links, should fit wrists ranging from about 6-8 inches, option of 19mm or 20mm end links, micro-adjustable clasp, links removed with screws not pins.

Totally understand why some would prefer hollow end links. To that I’d say, Uncle Seiko is for you. This isn’t intended to be a “me too” product, but something different, with modern higher-end features that improve wearability, fit, and convenience. The good news is that there will be something on the market for everyone - win-win!

Excellent- glad you are taking an alternative approach then, I do appreciate diversity in the marketplace. May have to buy just to compare which I like best. Now if someone would do these in an 18mm, all of us technical dialed Seamaster owners would have a reasonable alternative to the factory 1035’s that got snatched up and repurposed by all the greedy Speedy guys ;)

I hope that they'll be available from your UK distributor just like the JB Komfit mesh bracelet.
Nice work. Really looking forward to one of these.

very surprised about the excitement over a stretch bracelet. I remember back in the day when most people discouraged them due to how easy it was to get them stolen/ grifted off of you.

If this is indeed a stretchy link like my original Seawolf Oyster (and the original early flatlinks) - that is a game changer. They are so comfortable and for someone like me who can swell from a 7.25” wrist in the morning, then midday to 7.5 in the afternoon, they are a godsend. Please tell us more about the stretchy link- do all but the removable stretch, only the bottom half, inquiring minds want to know. And do we have an ETA?

@Forstnerbands are the endlinks curved or straight?

Normally they are straight and then you „bent“ it to the case.

Bracelet looks great! Really looking forward to see it live.
As mentioned before: hopefully available also via the UK / EU site.
Any idea, when it will go 'on air'?

I've read on IG that ETA is in two to three months. Interesting to have two options for flatlinks bracelets in the future. Does anyone can say something about the price?

I'll need to save harder and buy more watches, I can't keep getting more bracelets.

I'm constantly browsing to the Forstner Bands site waiting for the flat link to drop... and then Uncle Seiko version as well, grr!
