Price is expected to be $125 when in stock, with a discount for those who preorder.

Very nice. I look forward to seeing the final results.

In my opinion, this modern take on the bracelet should have been done by Omega to accompany the new Apollo 11 anniversary watch. @Forstnerbands kudos for stepping up and filling the void.

Thanks! I was hoping to launch before the anniversary too, but it’s taken a lot longer than expected. C’est la vie I suppose. But I agree that this would’ve been a good idea by Omega.

@Forstnerbands
Hopefully available by the beginning of December as I'll need to put half-a-dozen underneath the Christmas tree 😗

You and me both! I’m gonna be real bummed if we miss the holiday season 😀 Kidding aside, these should be in stock and shipping out about end of November. Fingers crossed

Just curious on the history of this endeavor: did you purchase the rights to the name, and get the original tooling? What made you do this, ultimately?

As to the ultimate question of why, I’m watch (and speedy) obsessed, love the history and connection with NASA, and have just really loved this style of bracelet for a long time. But they’re so hard to find and really expensive if you can even locate one. Figured it would be good to bring it back.

The tooling I couldn’t find, so it was a long process of trying to faithfully recreate the bracelet based on sampling and looking at past IP about it. Speaking of that, we indeed do have the rights to Forstner, Komfit, and the JB triangle.

Loving all the questions - thanks to all who have engaged.

I haven't really researched this style of band too much, but it looks very interesting. It's not clear to me how the ends are adjustable...is it a "slip/sliding" (Paul SImon singing in the background ::facepalm1::) type arrangement? I would also be interested in curved end links.

this may prove to be a viable alternative for my FOIS; I've been looking for the ever elusive 1125/617 combination to swap out the leather band the FOIS came with.

Thanks for the question! Perhaps a better way to describe the end links would be spring loaded. You can fit the bracelet on a watch that has lugs between 16 and about 21mm.
