    Just arrived. 1AEA1CFA-DA27-4474-B4F4-C0758E18DBEF.jpeg 844EC95B-0F90-47EE-8796-2D45494B8D06.jpeg B6CE952F-FE38-40DF-BC7D-5040BF5C55AB.jpeg
Clasp is a little fiddly but I got the hang of it- is the clasp supposed to be on the front or back?
Got a few other watches I plan to try it with

Looks great! The clasp faces frontward (at 6:00) - it takes a little getting used to but once you do it a few times it’s very intuitive.

It’s gonna take a while to get used to the skinny bracelet with the large case diameter of the Speedmaster - I’m used to tha later tapered factory bracelets and leather. This bracelet makes the Speedy appear larger to me than it is (like a lolipop)- which is a look, but not sure if it’s my look.
In terms of build quality, it’s excellent- fit & finish is spot on, comfort is excellent and the ease of putting it on and taking it back off the watch was a breeze. I don’t have an original to compare it with but have handled many bracelets from the 60’s-70’s and have to say this on par with any JB or NSA of the time period.

Contrary to many here, I didn’t buy this bracelet for my Speedy- I am very happy with my custom made Shell cordovan strap it lives on currently and have the original 1970’s factory bracelet for it. But I have a sizable collection of 60’s watches sans bracelets and this was a great period style alternative in my opinion- and for the price it can’t be beat.
Here as a point of contrast, on a 36mm 1960’s diver. I think this bracelet has great appeal for watches that never came with bracelets, not for just Speedy nuts. CEF6053C-4284-4A56-9FEA-167B29E3D8D0.jpeg AE5FD8A3-5913-432C-99BD-92F4E0E2553B.jpeg 0FD4C5FA-892A-4FFC-ACB6-4A5BC00ECC07.jpeg

Oh- and for reference sake on the above pics in my posts- I have a 7” wrist and wear bracelets loose at 7.25, so on the Speedy I’m pretty high up, on the shorter lugged diver I moved the clasp down a little.
If I had under a 7” wrist I would opt for the small

For me, I have a 6.5 inch wrist and got the standard version. It wears loose, but I think I like it loose for this kind of bracelet, otherwise I think the small would allow me to hug the wrist more better.

Received mine today at the office but will have to wait until tonight to install on my FOIS. Good thing my Bergeon 6767F arrived last week. No idea what size my wrist actually is, but I bought a small thinking that I have small wrists. Gal at the OB said most guys think that but actually don't, which makes sense because I'd like to put another half-link in my 2220.80.

I'm getting a blockage for a Trojan from my ESET antivirus protection when I got to your site just now.

Got mine in mail, headed back to order one more, got notification of the Trojan.

Please post when this is taken care of on your site.

    Excellent quality

Thanks very much! Can you contact me at support@forstnerbands.com with more information about what message you got? We have inspected everything in the page coding on our site and we found no evidence of any Trojan or virus.

I liked my GEMEX very well at 18mm, and this is just as comfortable and wears well at the proper 20mm.

I bet I can pull one extra G wearing the properly sized bracelet, now:thumbsup:

All fitted. This is a short. And still has plenty of room for a calendar.

Edit - just measured my wrist 7 2/8”

Great fit on the watch. Is taking a little getting used to declasping - but am putting this down to me being used to a very worn spring on a vintage band.

Although - dang it. I didn’t fit the lug protectors.

Yeah, the short would put the clasp further down which I could see being appealing. With my 7” wrist it just barely clears the knobby bone on the lower wrist- I have thrown Nato’s in the trash for hitting that bone, have the reverse problem with some watches on my back of my wrist and where a firm strap starts to bend. I have knobby wrists and I’m like the princess and the pea- so if anything rubs or annoys me in any way it get thrown out the window.

Thanks! I actually don’t use the lug protectors on my own watch anyway. I tend to think I’ll get more signs of use on the visible parts of the watch by wearing it regularly, and on the back of the lugs by changing straps often. I’ve never thought much about the internal lugs to be honest ;)

And not to keep driving this point- but seriously, if you bought one of these for the curiosity of how it would be on a Speedy and it just doesn’t do it for you, try it on other vintage pieces- it will be very smart looking on a technical style watch (diver, chrono, pilot or military, etc)- I’ll put it in a few others I have and update the thread in the coming days for visual aids. I think this is a great bracelet for a myriad of watches.

Agree with you - I prefer the clasp maybe an inch and a half from the top of the band. On my wrist it puts the clasp at a comfy position just on the underarm. image.jpg

Circling back to this, we double checked our code and found nothing of the sort that popped up in your blocker, including the specific issue that is listed in your photos. Looks to be a false alarm from your detection software. Sorry for the inconvenience!
