Because all the news in the UK is either 100% cricket or 100% insane/ awful, here's something that made me laugh...

For reference, the auto writer behind the account was also the target for the sticky drink co's misguided ire for a bit.

Rich Energy Haas F1 Team - Lightning Volt Haas F1 Team - The Light Haas Gone Out F1 Team.

This is a legit low-key attempt to mask the poor performance of Grosjean and Magnussen with a car that still has one of the better engines of last year. At least they are good at thrashing the car 👍.

Doing better then the other Ferrari owned team with a world champion driver...

The issue with Rich energy as a company has nothing to with Haas. Additionally you don't start an attempt to hide recent poor performance with a statement from your sponsor saying they are leaving due to poor performance......

I've recently become accostumed to doubt whether or not said word champion driver is still the same person that won 4 championships. Maybe he was abducted by aliens.

You are correct and I was joking, but it is funny how the shit show that is Rich Energy / Lightning Volt somehow gets more attention (my view) than what is otherwise a team going backwards really fast. It feels like watching Williams, but with a crappy beverages sponsor.

Welp, totally forgot that Alfa is Ferrari owned and that Kimi was world champion once upon a time ::facepalm1::

Off topic but perhaps still somewhat relevant for racing fans.
I am actually looking forward to next season of Formula E.
Especially with the announcement of Andre Lotterer filling the second slot for the Porsche team.
I was always an Audi Sport fan which is why I'm still a fan of his, so I was happy to see him end up at Porsche.

I used to enjoy going to Silverstone when it shared the British GP with Brands Hatch, but Brands is still my favourite circuit (Spa is my favourite current circuit). If only it could go back there, but I fear not...

Here’s a classic from Brands Hatch - I love how James Hunt asks a reporter for his cigarette after ‘winning’ the race!

Love me some grand prix decided on Saturdays... Especially when it is Mercedes winning..

For f*ck sake Ferrari...

PS: Hopefully they will grow a brain and replace the whole car for a much more reliable Fiat 127. Such nonsense, how the mighty have fallen.

Ferrari, smh...

They looked great in all 3 FP sessions so naturally they were going to crap the bed on Saturday or Sunday. At this point I feel bad for Vettel. He’s never going to win with Ferrari until the team is diversified more.

I really do feel for Vettel and do not think at this point in time immaterial of what team he was with things would be any better for him 🙁

Mercedes? I think that he would fare well there. Maybe even at Red Bull...

Now to liven the race up, what we need is for the 4 top drivers to have a minor coming together at the first corner on the first lap, this results in all 4 heading for the pits for a rapid stop before rejoining at the back, then we have a race 😁

Gasly, Raikonnen and Grosjean P1, P2, P3 at the end of the race, after multiple SC's, engine problems for the mercs and the ferraris crash into each other out of the pitlane start.

That would be a clusterf*ck of a race. Sadly it will be Mercs 1, 2.

Anything other than a Merc 1,2 would be welcome

Ferrari is becoming more and more the best comedy show around. Sad to see them doing so badly.
I hope that Verstappen challenges 1 and 2.
Kimi at 5 was great!😎
