The orient bambino and seiko 5's are probably the most cost effective ways to get back in the game.

So true. For almost no money as well. Thats why I was drawn to them when I first got into watches!

Excuse me for reviving a years-old thread, but I'm going through this today. It's a very uncomfortable feeling. Perhaps I should leave a beater in my car or office in case of emergencies.

That's as good an excuse to go buy a new watch as I've heard...
