·I can recall a couple of occasions where I wasn't particularly interested in a watch, but when I saw it in person, it changed my mind and I ended up buying one. It had nothing to do with the identify of the person who had the watch.

Just wondering if this plays into peoples' buying decisions. For example, my brother-in-law owns a Moonwatch and it made me think twice about picking up the same model he had. I also had a terrible manager in the past that wore a ceramic pre-2018 Diver 300m and hence I could never pull the trigger on that model.
If that were a thing, no one would own a Rolex Submariner

a watch is something quite personal for a man as we only generally get a single piece of 'jewellery' to wear each day
I buy the same watches as my enemies. Then I mentally link the two watches together to exert mind control. 🤪
If you wake up in the middle of the night thinking about this, I just might have the same watch as you..... 😒
