I know that Cyrus is a good make, however, I’m trying to gauge if there’s more of a market for the system’s individually or complete?

Any extra information would be appreciated 😀

Normally, I see people buying components separately unless there's some reason that it needs to be sold as a set.

Thank you for the reply. My only worry about selling it separately is that I don’t know enough myself to start splitting it all up. I’m hoping that there’s someone starting out as a hobby and wants a complete set to start? I’m not too sure.

Start with the whole thing together as a unit, because mixing and matching is no fun and one reason these are all the same brand is that they were all designed to work together. Then he matched the speakers to the electronics.

Many people do buy components separately but something like this with a purpose-built rack that was just made to go together, you do your family member, yourself, and the world a disservice to split it up.

I were you I would contact a few high-end stores in your area, show the the pics, and see who starts salivating.

The best is to look on eBay. You can find prices for each component that's been sold for the past few months. That will give you an idea of what the pricing is like and whether or not there's any interest in buying more than one component at a time.

You can also just list it all together at first to see if anyone will buy it and split it after you find out that there's no interest.

Best of luck!

Indeed! and don't be in a hurry, you have tens of thousands of pounds sitting there grinning at you.

Really appreciate this reply, thank you for your help! I’ll look into a few local stores also.

Here in the US there is a web site called audiogon that is great for selling (and for looking up past sales). I'm not sure if there is a British equivalent, or if there is an international component to audiogon.

Hey guys ..

anyone in the NYC area I had to move offices and that means I have 4 systems that I no longer have space for ...
I have some good HiFi gear let me know ....

@BlackTalon has met me and can vouch that I pretty straight up on this stuff...

FYI for those who don’t know me I am a mod here on the OF . I normally would not post outside of guideles but I have this stuff all on storage and it pisses me off ... I love having multiple systems but not when they are not set up and I can’t use them .

Anyone can email me at [email protected]

Unfortunately used audio equipment is normally a hard sell unless they are sought after brands or particular models. Prices tend to be pretty low when compared to the original price.

Dang Bill, sorry to see you having to give up some of your systems. There are some cool pieces in those stacks. If I was local I would definitely be over there talking to you, as I'm trying to set up a system for my son (and he is attracted to vintage gear).

I think we may be banned from NY without a 2 week quarantine now. Heck, DC would have banned us from entering starting today if Virginia and Maryland did not man many of the businesses there, and buy from a lot of the stores and restaurants. VA and MD met the DC criteria for mandatory quarantining, but they somehow found it in their heart to continue allow our labor and money to enter their border.

Wow, I'm a bit jealous. I am running a MC1700 with a TD-145 sporting a TP-16 tonearm. If you were closer I'd probably be giving you some of my money.
