I’ve recently picked up this rather nice 145.036 with extract dating to May 30th and delivered to Equador. It came with two bracelets, a 1162/72 and an unnumbered made in Mexico. First question is which bracelet is it likely to have supplied on? The second question is more of a request for opinion! It had an extensive overhaul in 2015; luckily the dial wasn’t replaced and it has the T Swiss Made T original. The hands were also replaced at this time, but were returned with the watch. I’ve only gone and chipped the glass today, which I’ll need to get sorted, but while that’s getting done, I was thinking about putting the original hand set back. Thoughts on that?
Nice watch! The Flightmaster was one of the topics of the last Time4APint. https://omegaforums.net/threads/wat...n-broer-bill-sohne.114132/page-2#post-1515298 There is plenty information in-house (also about the Holzer bracelet) here: https://omegaforums.net/threads/the-flightmaster-thread.36423/page-23#navigation Holzer bracelets came on watches in Mexico, but there was a relationship between Mexico and Ecuador, so maybe...: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ecuador–Mexico_relations I would keep the service hands installed and keep the originals stored. (Do not touch fragile things to often.) Enjoy the watch. And wear it .
Thanks, I'll give the T4AP a listen this evening. I'd also come across the Flightmaster sticky, so I'll give that a browse too. The watch also came with a glass which was obviously replaced at service, but is now in better condition than the one that's fitted! Cheers Ed
Hello, The 1162/172 is a service bracelet so most probably the holzer bracelet came with the watchc or at least is period correct. And for sure install original tritium hands!
Do you have the lovely "Flightmaster Only" book? It's fascinating, and has helped me avoid a number of potentially disastrous purchases. Although with the downside that I still don't have a Flightmaster.
It’s back after a service and replaced glass. Decided to have the original put back on, I’m happy with that.
