Hi Uncle Seiko,

I'm not aware if this question has been posted yet (but pretty sure, only can't find it here in the several uncleseiko threads to that theme) but would like to know why one can't order these Speedmaster bracelets via uncle seiko uk? There's no Speedmaster section in but only Seiko stuff.

Would prefer to avoid larger shipping expenses/time, am located in Germany.

Happy to hear from you.

Many thanks,

Winny

Has anyone bought and tried the Forstner one now that it’s out??

I think they're only open to pre-orders so far. I doubly anyone here has one in their possession yet.

I plan to order one and am bracing myself, as his appears to have more bells and whistles. 😵‍💫

It looks like a totally different product at a different price-point, despite being visually similar. I think there is room in the market for both.

Well, more bells and whistles doesn’t necessarily mean it’s better overall (as you know!) I am a huge fan of my US Holzer bracelet - super curious about both flat link ones 😀

I don't think you would be changing his clasp to one of yours. ... 😁

.... hmmmm, a 1450. Nice!

89 or 150 now they look the same now what makes one cost more. I have bought products from both bought a tropic for my 6105 and a Komfit from Forstner for my Omega Speeedmaster happy with both products so figure I would not be disappointed with ether but 60 more if there the same. Are they the same quality ?

SEL and screw in links, and some stretch in the Forstner is what I can see from reading the descriptions of both.

Will have both to compare soon

But I agree with prior comments feel there is room for both , and both seem great judging by appearances

From what I have read the Forstner has two stretchy links by the clasp like the early flatlinks and solid endlinks. If you have a model that specifically fits the solid endlinks, then you can enjoy the tighter fit and less rattle. But if you don't have the specific Speedmaster models that this bracelet is designed for, you are SOL- you can't tweak solid endlinks like you can hollow.
As I said above, I see these as very different products. My US flatlink actually resides on my Tissot chrono (despite being purchased for my Speedy) which never came with a bracelet- it's a dead perfect fit after a little tweaking.

The Us Holzer, which I also purchased for my Speedy, ended up on my SM120

(I don't have a choice in the matter- the watch tells me which bracelet it likes).

I think both the Holzer and Flatlink from US would also work on the SM300 considering the lug profile should be similar to the Speedy and it can be tweaked a touch if the holes don't line up perfectly- not sure the Forstner can work on anything but the SMP.
I plan to pick up one of the Forstner flatlinks as well to see how that does on the Speedy, as well as one of their Bonklips for several other vintage pieces I have.
I think any one of us can own both and find watches that work well with them.

In answer to the question posed, I would buy them both. They’re not that expensive, both of the owners participate regularly and seem very open to feedback and discussion, and they are filling a collector niche, bearing the entire burden of starting and running a new business. We are really quite lucky to have them both around.

That’s a very kind sentiment and is much appreciated. I also fully support Uncle Seiko and know firsthand that he makes quality products (having purchased several myself including his beautiful flat link). I don’t think there’s a “right” answer to which one to get, my .02 😀

And a very gracious response. Thanks.

I'm personally of the mind- why would anyone want just one?! I assume 99% of the people here have more than one watch- part of the fun is the mix&match

No answer to this question? I'm living in germany as well and would like to order from the UK.

Best regards
