A picture to put fear and terror into the hearts of watch lugs everywhere!
As a cautionary to anyone contemplating one of these bracelets- the fixed endlinks are fine- the spring loaded ones that self adjust from 15-20mm with firm springs in the spring bar covers will destroy your watch over time.
I have a case for my Elgin B.W. Raymond at my jeweler's shop right now waiting for her to weld up similar damage.

if u must use 'em:

I cut small disc's of .002" clear polycarbonate that I put between the spring loaded end links and the watch lugs.
Modern Forstner offered the same type of sticky gaskets when they sold the Komfit originally (they got the idea from us). One of the major concerns was the spring loaded endlinks grinding away on Speedmasters. Their spring tension is far less than the older style.
I have one of their komfits on my Astronaut, and I love it. I didn't love the little sticky gasket that they sent with it. My poly discs are much stouter.
These are not perfect. I used a small punch to cut the discs (I forget which size), and then used a leather awl to punch the holes for the spring bars to pass through. They are not invisible but they are pretty unobtrusive.
