Hello guys,

I fell in love with 60's Omega Seamestar De ville I saw at a store. I googled it, and found 2 for sale in my country, both go for about 600 dollars (that's a considerable ammount here). I'm a watch noob (I'm trying to learn) and I don't know if they are real and not ruined. One has busted hands, a different color crown and some blue weird color in some movement parts the seller claims it's his phone reflection (first 9 fotos) the other is lacking the swiss made. Should I buy one of them? I'm sorry for the photo spam. Any help would be greatly apreciated.

I would keep looking. Neither of those is in good condition, and $600 is not particularly cheap for that watch.

Seems like a good person to buy hallucinogens from, but not watches.

When you have this one sitting here waiting for a home 😗 At nearly half the price......

My thoughts exactly, I guess what puts some people of is the missing “name”. It’s not a Seamaster or a DeVille, it’s “just” an Omega with a reference number. That’s not my personal perspective but I generally found it harder to sell non-branded Omegas than vintage Seamasters etc.

Huh? The watch for sale on this site puts most of the over priced pieces of junk people posted questions about the past few days to shame, and for less money to boot!

Newbies (and they are the ones often buying the entry-level pieces) often get hung up on unimportant details like some specific words on the dial. It seems to take time for them to come around to appreciating the overwhelming importance of the three Cs.

Which is precisely what I meant.

Complete pass on both of these tired Omegas. You can do much better for your money.

Honestly both movement look like they have never been serviced and they sure look like they need a service now.

Take your time and you'll find something a lot better and cleaner without much difficulty.

Good luck for your search for a golden Omega
